Do me a favor TWU mechanics stop whining about the IAM get thanksgiving and the day after as our holidays. It is in our current contract. You are under a bankruptcy contract. If TWU wanted the same amount of holidays then you should have put it in, when you agreed to working on each other’s metal. I do not get double time or time and half working the holidays. So get your facts right. I’m sick of you whining about the same old ****! Remember you screwed TWA mechanics. Assholes!!!!

You don't get paid double time for working a holiday? Per Article 6 D of the LUS M&R CBA says otherwise. Maybe you should file a grievance.

1. In addition to the eight (8) hours pay for the holiday, employees
   
   
2. 26 who are scheduled to work on a holiday shall be paid at the rate of straight
   
   
3. 27 time for the first eight (8) paid hours worked.

Dont put words into my mouth, we took three rounds of concessions in two bankruptcies, my pension was terminated and my CBA abrogated, not my fault we got a better CBA and been out of Chapter 11 since 2005.

We didnt get equity, nor is AA pumping two billion dollars into my terminated pension, yet they are into the TWU's represented employees frozen pension.

Do you know if the TWU leadership asked the IAM leadership to join?

We took concessions in 1992, 2002, 2003, and 2004, dont talk to me about cuts, we also lost 46% of the maintenance workforce in 2005.
