Aircraft maint issues

If the company opened the door by putting out information on the offer. Why won't the union put the complete offer out for US to see and read for ourselves.
You want to know why. Because they are hiding something. They work for US. If we want to see it what reason do they have to not let us. WAKE UP PEOPLE

I wish someone in Fleet (TWU) who knows the details would speak up and fill in the holes.
William Fa, let's see that "high education" on display. C'mon Brian, you will be representing us in Vegas, how about spilling a few beans, rally the troops!

I will say this, it looks as if Gary thinks the LUS to LAA medical is a done deal and is something that will have to be fought in the future. If you read and listen to the IAM side, that is a major sticking point...

The Medical is not a done deal yet.

Oops.

Again, listen to Gary, he is hinting that it is a battle that will have to be fought at a later time is all I'm saying.

Don't know if the guy is hinting or not? Just know that the Medical is not a done deal yet. (Despite what Tim is saying)

Might be saying that just to give the IAM guys something to be pissed about. It was strange to hear.

I think the IAM and TWU Negotiators get along a lot better than some people think out there in Social Media World.

I don't doubt that but it would help to have the IAM troops supporting the TWU troops. I can't imagine another reason Gary would act like he is throwing in the towel on a big issue like insurance cost while standing his ground on the other issues. Just weird.

The IAM probably knows the party will end soon. They are probably hoping to get as much out of their CBA until it too becomes amendable. By then it might be too late. We will be so frustrated that we have to go this far under a BK contract and the IAM sat back and did nothing to help the rest of us get a JCBA. It's the IGM mentality. It runs rampant all over the place.
The IAM is protecting dues until a JCBA is signed. They know layoffs and buyouts are going to hit them and the IAMPF hard.
If you look at the big picture it's all about big money. The company is making it, the unions are collecting it and the IAMPF is still surviving. Lots of blame to go around but the blame should be directed to the creation of the association. If we had not gone this route I would safely say there would have been one union representing all members and we would have a JCBA by now or at least been further along than we are today.
So you are back to using your crystal ball again. Your rant about being forced into the IAM pension looks like just that.....just a rant. You can have a JCBA tomorrow, just agree to what the company has put out. It's loaded with layoffs. I guess you are willing to sell out your coworkers. After 3 bankruptcy's there shouldn't ANY reasons for concessions, NONE. Your hatred for the IAM is overwhelming. Is that the reason why the TWU screwed over the TWA employees the way you did? Please explain how the IAM is sitting back and doing nothing in terms of the negotiations? Somehow I don't believe you are personally sitting at he table.

Dude you need help. I hate the Whole Association equally. If you have kept up with my posts over time you would have realized it. I'm not agreeing to nothing. I don't want a JCBA tomorrow. We should have had one months ago. If you followed events as they happened you would have noticed. What happened to 30 days after ratification of the Association?
What happened to the vote? Three bankruptcies? By the way, TWA was screwed by the arbitrators decision. I and every twu member had no input on that decision. Jim Little made that decision on his own. Maybe your upset because the company wants the IAM guys to pay more for medical. Maybe your upset because you fear that layoffs will come when a jcba is signed. Well that won't be just on the IAM side. It's going to happen across the board. No one wants concessions but there will be concessions in the language that many won't take the time to read. Sadly both sides of the association from the NC to you and I will oversee this and many will vote yes. I want lower medical costs, more vacation, my double time and everything else we lost that you guys have and more. That would be a ILC JCBA. It's not going to happen. I won't vote yes to any concessions in scope and compensation. Will you, to save the IAM dues machine and keep the IAMPF funded further? If the company was to stop contributions to the IAMPF and give us a ILC, would you vote yes? If they would to take compensation in some form to keep the IAMPF going would you vote yes?
One wonders why the IAM leadership is not as vocal and involved pressuring the company to get us an ILC? Face it the IAM is going to ride this out until the party is over. Nice to see you came on the board once in a while to defend the IAM. Too late. They all suck and failed the membership miserably. They couldn't save Eastern and TWA. The TWU couldn't save PanAm. So here we are with two dysfunctional unions with two different work ethics, two different agendas and two different ways of negotiating a JCBA.
Enjoy the holidays. We can pick this discussion up again sometime around September of 2019.

It's interesting to read this and see that our Union AMFA can't get our company to move beyond what they want in rules and pay, going over 5 years now, the mediator won't even give us any more days till November or December because she doesn't see anything productive.Wish you guys luck don't know which one us will be finished first American or SWA!

I guess my October prediction will not come to pass.

Selling out is the TWU way. Just ask anyone that has been on a "B" pay scale so senior people could get a 5 and 5 deal.

You guys are past your amendable date and under federal mediation. We on the other hand are trying to get a JCBA but the company has no obligation to do so until our contracts become amendable. Then comes mediation. I hope not but that's how things happen here at AA and the TWU. We have all experienced the long drawn out process of negotiations with one company or another with one union or another. If it gets as far as arbitration you can figure at that point we will be at least 5 years past amendable dates. I hope it doesn't get anywhere near that far down the road. I just don't see a T/A to vote on anytime soon unless one side gives in to the other. Hopefully the company will give in. Wishful thinking on my part.
