AFA Tentative Details Released

Sure it has - look at how much money the company has saved. Maybe that's where your pay raise came from!

It's funny watching you twist trying to explain how the pilots should keep their nose out of FA business but you have every right to stick your nose in theirs...

Jim

Aren't you retired? You don't have a nickel in this dime Mr. Wizard.

So? Not having a nickle in it hasn't stopped you from going over to the AA forum and poking those folks with a stick...

I do love the "do as I say, not as I do" double standard though - comedy relief.

Jim

Hey Mr. Wizard when I read on the AA forums and hear us as being called whores because we come to work everyday to do what we can to take care of ourselves and our families despite the challenges we've faced through our bankruptcies and labor issues et al, I'm gonna fight back. That's my nature. When they deride my company and colleagues out of frustration because of where they are due to their own shortcomings, management and labor, I'm gonna push back. And I don't care who likes it or not. And that includes you, someone who had a long career here at US but has chosen to trash us at every turn you can. I don't know why and I could care less. But you're retired. You don't have nickel in this dime.

What do you care if there is or isn't a merger you won't benefit or be screwed by it. If it makes you feel good bashing US and it's efforts to stabilize itself as a player then so be it. I don't give a rat's ass. You can look to the past and our bankruptcies and the monies we lost all you want. Suit yourself. That's yesterday's news. I think it's ridiculous to kiss the asses of an airline that would love to have seen you jobless while you were here just so it would enhance their bottom line, or so they thought. But that's on you. Whatever issues you have with US is your business and
God bless you in resolving it.

But yes, the US pilot issues have set us all back. That's not infringing on pilot's issues it's the truth. And it has really held up the flight attendants till recently. I hope something fair is resolved. But you need know that, while you are on your keyboard with the curtain pulled finger f#@5k&ing your keyboard in your virtual world of OZ, whatever agenda you've bought into to trash the company I work for in favor of a company that---despite their taking a much deserved dirt bath in the cess poll of Chapter 11-never gave a #### about you or us while you wile you toiled here. So feel free to attack me. I can take it. And I can dish it. And I will! Best of luck to you and I hope your team wins today.

Oh,for Pete's Sake!

Please tell the folks out here how you're supposed to get briefed and receive a special briefing card reviewing emergency exit procedures. Pilots are not qualified for emergency exit procedures on all aircraft...just the "one" they operate.

You are not qualified on most of our fleet. E190, AB330, 767....
If we had an emergency...you'd be in the damn way!
Actually we are out west. We go through all of our doors in all of our aircraft.

It's not that hard. I know you want to make people believe its that hard so as to justify your perceived level of intelligence, but flipping a lever and stepping back is pretty simple.

We do, after all, put passengers in exit rows and expect them to open the plugs on their own, right?

So get over yourself. One ground school and I'd be qualified on all of our aircraft.

Now sweetheart, you don't. You're taking an OPEN jumpseat that doesn't carry an FA on revenue flights. The FA for that particular door is still responsible for said door.

Tell me, do we send passengers to recurrent so they can sit in our exit rows?

And are you still hung up on the call sign thing? I'm surprised because when I go through CLT or PHL, it seems to be rolling of your lips very smoothly these days.

Mr. Move to.... get over yourself too.... Yes Passengers should learn to open these things you call "plugs"
We had a very bad incident in LAX.... all would have survived on USair flight except the Capt. in said incident if the window exit was opened in a more timely matter.
Pax were fighting over who was going to open it and who was going out first. (Only two exits were operational) So, Mr. know it all I am a pilot and therefore I am God...
Get over yourself and go back to the Pilot board and fight with your own.

You are the reason many make fun of FAs. Have you seen the pool the company draws FAs out of? Ya, not to impressive as the qualifications aren't that stringent.

Thank god a few outstanding gems come through, but unfortunately, they are diluted with the likes of you.

I don't understand your story as you've pretty much pieced together your thought vomit into what you thought was a coherent paragraph.

Please, step back, take a breath, and ask the nearest 7 year old to compose your thoughts into something normal people can comprehend.

Or, better yet, please stop trying to participate. You hurt the image of your profession every time you post something.

I don't drink the airplane coffee...

I would however, have no problem sending you to prison for commiting the crime you advocate.
I wouldn't pay much attention to ggiby.

The fact that she hasn't figured out that that little trick stopped working decades ago is one thing, but the fact that she'd more than likely spike her own coffee in the process makes her threat hollow.

Quite comical.

What about when the cockpit jumpseat is open and a f/a gets left behind??
Now we get into security issues.

The FAA is very specific as to who gets to ride up front and who doesn't.

There is a reason why FAs can't use the KCM checkpoints and there are reasons you can't sit up front for jumpseating.

Don't like it? Talk to the Feds.

Cabin jumpseat? Whole different story. If that seats empty with no other FAs needing it, then I get it so I can commute home or go to work.

I'm not worried about the pilots. F/a jumpseat language has already negotiated by the flight attendants and the company. Result: F/a only. Pilots can get to work using J/S benefits on other carries. I'm not worried about the pilots at all. A pilot raised this issue. I m saying no to changing that. Not worried about the pilots at all. Just not interested in negotiating benefits for them They have agents for that. Hopefully the pilot can negotiate ithat issue without piggy backing off of the flight attendants. :)
Brings up an interesting question.

If you guys neg cabin jumps for FAs only and USAPA negs that cabin jumps are open for pilots, who gets the language?

Wait a minute, check that, I said "USAPA negs" -

Please add "hypothetically" to my question.

This is a flight attendant contract discussion. Whatever we feel about our contract I strongly suggest you go try and hammer one out of your own.

You sir, and I use that term very loosely, are the poster child for CRM and the living example of why people would opt for separate operations. I bet your a real joy to fly with..... but then again you would actually have to step away from the computer and fly a trip for that to happen.
I am just assuming you didn't get the message as your much too busy in your role as internet tough guy / oracle......

This is no longer a profession - It's just a job. Individuals like you insure that fact.

As soon as you come off his lap, Dougweiser can explain it to you.

I bet your favorite movie growing up was the "High and the Mighty" (a little before the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers). It is just a movie title Ace, not an ideology. May I recommend "Fate is the Hunter". Ernest Gann, and Hollywood "got it" all the way back in 1964. Maybe you can in 2012.

Can you compose or comprehend these thoughts? By your own definition, you seem the most qualified.

And that was an FA contract question.

Can our language, override yours when it comes to the cabin jumpseat?

I am replying to tell you that your question posted above doesn't deserve a reply. Keep your food fight in the cockpit and don't try spreading it to the galley.

Its been a long time sugar hater. Where to begin.

First off, I am a true joy top to bottom. FAs enjoy flying with me and I've never had so much as a bad look given to me. We out west enjoy a much better relationship with our FAs then you do out east.

Internet tough guy? No. Purveyor of truth and justice? Yes. This is readily backed up by my nearly 3100 positive votes so I must be saying stuff that is agreeable to both the east and west posters out there.

Great choices of movies and have seen both many times. EG is a great writer.

So, no complaints on my CRM by anyone. The FAs we have out west are mostly top notch and I'm married to one. I show her some of the posts on here and she agrees that some, ggiby in particular, really do deserve the verbal thrashing I give them.

Tell me, you found no issue with ggiby threaten to spike a pilot's drink? Or did you miss that particular piece of CRM?

When you get your head out of your ass, drop the emotion and start mixing in a bit of logic to your thought process. It'll help.
