700UW,

Welcome back to you as well! I think we both got suspended...I don't know who was first but I think we both have to behave...and I just hate that for you! :p

I expect the company to win this aribitration.
What, the latest round of furlough abuse?

I doubt it--they lost a similar trip to arbitration last year.
They lowered the staffing levels last year right before the furlough. THERE IS NO REDUCTION. I hope I am wrong and the AFA wins this one, but I personally don't think they will. Pitbull will have my head again for that statement, but.........

Pitbull, I listen to you, so..........

Twice,

We went through this before.....

There are two sections of our contract that speak to this:

A. The summer 2002 restructuring (concession #1) speaks to "further reduction"
B. The May 2000 contract sec. 20-1 "Leave in Lieu of Furlough".

In addtion, AFA won an aribrtration opinion last June that stated next time U violates the VF, there will be punitive action taken. First time ever an arbitrator placed language to seek punitive damage.

Mangement requested expedited arbitration in lieu of taking it to court. AFA complied with conditions. It still may end up there anyway.

AFA are "No more Mr. Nice Guys"!

USflyboi,

You are an AFA member as much as I am a "shill" for management....

AFA will most likely win this 'hands down". We already did have an arbitration render an apionion on this very issue back in June. Management knows they messed up here and forgot that case. That is how AFA knew they had a case. Managment asked AFA for "expedited arbitration"; NOT the other way around.

Sorry, you can't take more jabs at AFA until after the decision.

AND YES I'M BACK!
Bull, doesnt matter who asked AFA agreed to arbitrate it! Ill be more than happy to give you my name rank and serial number my friend. Why is it sooo hard for you to believe that most afa memebers ( all be it they arent happy) dont agree with you all the time?

Ok.

I'll just take your name, base, and payroll number. That will suffice. Rank, and serial number are for folks on the "outside". (guess you slipped up)

I sure wouldn't of wanted to be next to you in a "dug out" during the Am. revolutionary war. You would have surrendered in a heart beat, and joined the "benedict arnolds".

In response to the comments posted my USA1979 yesterday, I wonder how she would feel in all F/A's were put on RESERVE by the COMPANY???? I doubt she'd get her 105 a month.

Guys...lets not fight with ourselves. It's always the SR vs. JR and North vs. South.....
This place is a disaster and the last thing we should do is fight with one another. I agree with you ktflyhome but, we have bigger battles to fight than Myrtle or Estelle on the 6 trip ROME option.

I know this company has violated contracts, but put everyone on reserve? That in itself would be ridiculous, even for D & D. Can't operate an airline if you have to call everyone every day to tell them what they are doing. If US shrunk to 30% of what it is now, then maybe I'd be a reserve. But what has that got to do with anything. I get my 105 in because I bid for 105 and I have been around for a long time. Do you hate all senior people? I flew 55 for 12 years, 85 for a long time and now 105. My contract and yours allows me to do so. I didn't put this new system into effect, but I have worked under one just like it. That was all I was saying. Seniority is a great thing, but if all the other airlines have a reserve system like our new one, maybe we have had it very nice for a long time.

Before you jump on me and call me management again Pitbull, this is my opinion, and I am entitled to it just as you are yours. That is what makes this world so diverse!

afa needs to get there #### together.. and try to win one for the team . try to get everyones confidence back. most of the people i talk to think afa has much to blame for whats going on as well as the company. if i am paying these dimwits 39 bucks for representation, then represent me and stop bending over and taking the companies crap.

Didn't mean to be fighting, just expressing my frustration. I do believe that the Company has found another way to pit fellow employees against each other. Line Holder vs. Reserve. When I DO WORK, I see it more and more. This situation we are in is not healthy and it would potentially prove fatal. No one wants to work for per diem only. I love my job, I want to work. I believe in my fellow co-workers and I HATE what this company is doing to ALL of us. :(

PSA1979,

No, I know for a fact, my dear, you are not management. (you're just a want-a-be)

You are just a self centerd, all about me, senior mama. But, I'll be nice, nice, nice, nice, pleasant.....I'm off to work.

See you tonight, PSA1979 (that was a very bad year for me)
