WOW!! What does it take?? How many more times are your fellow workers gonna take it in the nads?? More and more "behind closed door deals" for conncessions from the TWU. O/S and co are giving up, they see the writing on the wall. I did see Anomally try to come back as well, but he got hammered right off the bat for coming in with the same lies he was "caught in" in the beginning, he didn't last long and spoof, he was gone again. I think even the TWU is giving up as they are just now giving away everything they can before they get fired. The company is scared of AMFA coming in so the company and TWU will work out the last minute deals "behind closed doors" to get all they can as they know this kind of behavior by the new union taking over will not be tolerated. Now you guys see the real TWU at work, and only the teamsters are even worse. Good luck on the representation vote guys...

I believe thats the original MOU from last Spring before we ratified the LLBO in August.
 
there isn't any change in the 401k match in the US Air MOU from the ratified agreement. It is still 5.5%. Somebody has made a mistake or deliberate mis-information.

Even so, at 3%, that's 3% more than we get in our 401K. We lost that years ago in place of the IAM pension.Profit sharing gone here also.And your Enhanced Severance Program? Do you know how many people here would jump at that opportunity? We've never had anything close.What's going to happen if we merge. Do you lose all this, or do we gain?

The problem is the TWU still has the old one on the BKfacts website and guys are pulling it up thinking its the new one.

There is no way of knowing its not the right one.


There's a similar problem with the contract. The LOMs were changed, so if you look at the original version of the M&R contract and look at the new correct MOU you would think that we are giving up the EO and avionics LOMs. Once again no way of knowing that they changed it.

Thats all gone. That was the MOU from last year.

The "Me Too" was never an issue for most of us. The TWU did the usual and added a 5 and 5 to get the A scalers to vote for it. It barely passed and later it was learned that if the A scalers who voted for it to get the 5 and 5, that later on didn't take it, had voted no it would not have passed. It was a terrible contract. It should have never been passed, "Me Too" or not.

The point is that the TWU sold the 95 contact on the Me Too clause. Misinformation from OUR union reps, the way I remember it.

Hopefully if this merger does happen, the TWU will give us all the info at one time, example:

All TWU members are going to get a 4.3% pay raise, BUT the TWU will be giving up the AA profit sharing of 5%, for this reason..........
The seniority will be integrated by date classification for this reason.............
Here is the MOU between TWU-AA-USair, and this is what it means for you, effective date.............
The 5.5% 401k match will not be effected or the 401k will be effected and give reason......
The 36 month average wage increase will not be effected, or will be effected for reason.........

Basically I think we want all the info at once from OUR union, and not just pander to TUL, give us ALL a little bang for the buck, the line mechs pay union dues too, makes us feel like the TWU is on our side. Better then having it leak out, like the TWU bragging about a 4.3% raise in event of merger, then have the company announce's we're losing profit sharing in the event of a merger. That just makes the union look bad / shady.

Whoever is in charge of communications for the TWU did not earn their bonus, they need to do more then just bash the IBT or AMFA. Especially when those union members are making $5 plus more an hour and full pay for sick time. etc etc etc.......

No Hope, just a wish list!!!!

I still HOPE that AMFA will file soon, decades of being in the TWU tells me that the only thing in my future with the TWU is the 1995, 2003 and 2012 contracts.
