Are the remaining 3 332's (for 2009) still on schedule to arrive by year's end, and will they have the new Envoy seating that's been speculated about? How has the TLV route been doing, overall?

I was thinking the same thing in regard to when the new envoy pods are coming. The a/c has been in service for a while now. With knowing the a/c were coming how back ordered can the seats be from the manufacturer? I mean really. I do know that the TLV flight is not only doing well but pretty sure it's doing better than the company expected. It's doing TREMENDOUS! ! ! ! Don't be surprised if you see a second TLV flight on the horizon. Yeah, it's that profitable for the company. They can't even get all the cargo on. It's paying for itself folks. Can't say that for many int'l routes these days.

CO started with one flight and bookings were so good they added one more flight. CO is running 2-777's EWR to TLV. Look how close they are to PHL. There are alot of folks that want to go to TLV. If we are not putting all the cargo on perhaps a second flight 4 times a week when we get additional 330-200.

you mean with the crummy inflight service and scrunched legroom we're seeing a lot of folks on board??

I just worked TLV last week and was pleasantly surprised by the the level of service we offer. In addition to the extra hot breakfast meal that we serve in coach, we also have a snacking station available to our main cabin passengers. The airplane is quite nice. The IFE system worked well, and the GPS system is a wonderful feature aboard the aircraft. Perhaps Tempe may slowly be getting the message and hopefully starting to understand that we really want to offer a nice product overseas. We've done it before and would like to get back to providing award winning international service.

The old Envoy seats on this new bird is disconcerting. This Envoy seating debacle has to be rectified as soon as possible as it has the potential to undermine the overall service upgrade potential that the new 330s represent.

I worked coach on my trip, but when I did pop into Envoy during the flight there was an Envoy frequent flyer who remarked to me that this was the best Envoy experience she's had on us in years. And her observation was made in spite of the sub-par seating available aboard the 330-200. So there is tremendous potential for us to possibly recapture some of the premium cabin business we've lost over the years.

So, despite the "crummy inflight service" and "scrunched legroom" we seem to be doing well on this new and important route. And, hopefully, with subsequent hardware and service upgrades on the older 330-300 fleet we may actually have an international product that we once again can be proud of.

Last I heard they were still coming before the end of the year and will come with the new seats. The first two will get the new seats at some point after the new birds start flying.

What about new slimline seats in coach on the A333's? I thought I read somewhere they were going to update it's seating to match the A330-200's this year. Is there a noticeable difference in leg room in coach with these seats on the new A332's vs. the A333's? I can't afford Envoy, but I will not get on another A330-300 in coach the way it is now.

I see that a/c 280 has been delivered and is at BFM undergoing pre ops. Does anybody know if this aircraft has or is getting the new envoy seats as rumored?

I eagerly look forward to pics of ship 281 to put to rest the "will they or won't they be installed" discussion!

But if only 1 has them (until the Dec deliveries), will they just run this to/from TLV mixed with one of the other two that don't have them? Or will 279 or 280 immediately go for Envoy refurb?

That would be A/C 281. This aircraft should absolutely have the pods. Should be a quick Pre-Ops. I've been looking in the schedule and noticed LHR and MUC no longer have a 332 on those routes for the future. So where is the 3rd line gonna be to?

It's still going to be to LHR, but it's been pushed back by several weeks. The first eastbound PHL-LHR flight on the A332 will be on 24OCT
