I do not think the IAM grievance on A320 heavy maintenance outsourcing is now a big deal in the company's eyes.

In fact, it may become a blip on the radar screen and be handled differently.

What makes you say that, and how do you think they will handle it differently??? We're all ears.

The company will wait for the Arbitrators Opinion and Award. Why not? But the issue could be over come by events. The IAM had their chance to negotiate to do maintenance in-house, but refused the company’s offer to discuss the issue.

The only option for the IAM may be to ask the company to negotiate the outsourcing and new business plan issues, if it’s not to late for the union.

The employees of this edited-up outfit are screwed regardless of what they do. Bankruptcy is imminent! The only people who will end up getting anything out of this deal are the executives, like Stevie and Rocko did right before the last filing.

Too bad that thousands of hard working people who have spent their lives working for this company will be screwed and tatooed - when it's all said and done, while some Board member/Executive(who might have been here two years) walks away with millions! At least the IAM had the balls to stand up for what's right - our own work (unlike ALPO)! What makes you think the company would have honored a new in-house agreement anyway, they haven't honored anything else in the last two years???

There comes a point when you have to say, enough is enough!!! Let the marketplace dictate who survives, and quit trashing the scopes of contracts that have taken decades to achieve!

USA320Pilot,
Our goal is to put you on the street. See you on the other side. I put that I fare better than you.

Why negotiate something that you all ready own the right too!

Your obsession is showing again with the IAM.

Are you scared that the IAM will not cut a deal and end this company?

Cause it sure seems that way.

To the moderators, I believe you should close this thread as it is a blatant attempt to wind up IAM members.

BINGO!!!!

You just acknowledged the true goal of many individuals who post on this page and apparently the goal of many employees at US Airways, "TO PUT THIS COMPANY OUT OF BUSINESS"

Shameful

USA320pilot, you really need to stop this nonsense. Everybody knows what's at stake and your continual shoveitdowntheirthroatsdoomandgloomscenerioifyoudontnegotitate is getting so old. I DARE YOU to take the weekend off from this board you should spend the time with your family. I DARE YOU!
