O.J. Simpson claimed he was being discriminated against when he was taken into custody for suspicious behavior. He called for all the haters to get sensitivity training.

Michael Jackson claimed he was being discriminated when he was taken into custody for suspicious behavior. He called for all the haters to get sensitivity training.

Marion Barry claimed he was being discriminated when he was taken into custody for suspicious behavior. He called for all the haters to get sensitivity training.

Congressman William Jefferson (Dem.) claimed he was being discriminated when he was taken into custody for suspicious behavior. He called for all the haters to get sensitivity training.

The fact that all of these black men were detained for suspicious behavior is obvious. They were not questioned by police for being black, male, or prominent. It was their BEHAVIOR as confirmed by POLICE that got them some face time.

Suspects craft a defense by wrapping their head in bandages and leaning on crutches to announce boldly, with a painful grimace on their face, “I am the victim. The glove doesn’t fit. You must acquit. Oh, and set up sensitivity training.â€￾

The fact that they attempted to exploit our graciousness and kind disposition in order to cloak their suspicious behavior makes them more despicable, even though they are not white, male, protestant Christians who listen to Brush Limbole.

All last night and into this morning I was thinking/wonder the same thing; a ply to further a deliberate agenda. What are the chances the 6 will file a multi-million $$$ discrimation law suit against US Airways, AND WIN!!!

Apparently the president of the North American Imams Federation, a Omar Shahin is calling for a boycott of US Airways

http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/11/22/...D8LI2ST00.shtml

Omar Shahin, meanwhile, was involved with the Islamic charity Kind Hearts, which has had its assets frozen by the U.S. Treasury Department because of its connections to the terrorist group Hamas. And according to a September 2001 story in the Arizona Republic, Shahin “said members of the Tucson mosque may have helped bin Laden in the early 1990s.â€￾ He maintained, however, that this was consistent with the practice of the CIA itself: “They (the CIA) called him a ‘freedom fighter.’ Then they tell us he is involved in terrorist acts, and they stopped supporting him, and we stopped.â€￾ On a dime, no doubt............

In a sane world, officials would tell the imams that if they’re upset about being taken off the plane, they should redouble their anti-terror efforts in the Muslim community in the U.S.—which are sorely deficient. They would ascribe their inconveniencing to the sacrifices that are incumbent upon all of us during wartime. But instead, they are compared to Rosa Parks.

Bin Laden, who predicted after 9/11 that many more planes would be falling from the skies, is no doubt enjoying the spectacle.

But the apology that is likely to come from US Airways will set a precedent that ostentatious and even suspicious behavior by Muslims is not to be questioned, in the name of avoiding discrimination. What can that do but embolden Islamic jihadists?

I tried to understand where these people, mostly the flamers get such twisted reasoning thinking that treating the enemy kindly will somehow appease them. And then I remembered the enmity of our soul who lingers invisible yet effectively twists sane reasoning into the insane. It's the only thing that makes sense. It's also very true when one looks at it on the spiritual realm where our reality exist.

Hello?? I take it you don't agree with

1. The way this problem (these Muslims) was handled
2. Any type profiling
3. And from you last response above the way TSA is set up.

Well Clue why don't you clue us in to what your answer would be to terrorism. I am sure you got it all figured out. How bout we just pretend it isn't there. Humm that might fix it.

Please enlighten us I am sure since you been the victom of profiling you got all the answers. Well lets hear them!!!

Is it reading that's an issue for you?

Now I ask you "Is it reading that's an issue for you?"

Answer my questions. One so quick to criticize the USA on how they handle terrorism. Instead of just criticizing please tell us how it should be fixed. No fair keeping it to yourself now.

No, the terrorists win if we ever allow them to cause the kind of public reaction we saw immediately after 9/11. Think any of these companies can weather another situation such as that?

Remain vigilent.
It is what happened after the immediate public reaction wore off is what was so awesome.

And that's the rub!
You post is so right on. People should adapt to the customs of the places (be it countries or aircraft) they are visiting or happen to be on. If the don't know the customs (or don't want to adapt or go down the isles praying) then just keep a low profile. Anyone that draws attention to themselves by being out of place deserves to get the wary eye.

Unfortunately, being as the USA is made up of so many different cultures and bestows each individual citizen freedom and a wide range of civil rights, there is always going to be the claims of discrimination by the ones that think the definition of freedom is "I am going to to whatever I want whenever I want and damn anyone that doesn't like it"

WASHINGTON, Nov. 22 /U.S. Newswire/ -- On Monday, November 27th, 8:15 AM, at the US Airways ticket counter located in the Reagan National Airport, Imam Omar Shahin, one of the six Imams removed from US Airways flight 300, will join Imam Mahdi Bray, executive director of the MAS Freedom Foundation, Rabbi Arthur Waskow of the Shalom Center of Philadelphia, Rev Graylan Hagler of the United Church of Christ, Hillary Shelton, director of the NAACP-Washington National Office, and other interfaith members for a press statement, public prayer, and flight departure on US Airways.

You know, I don't know what all this wasted bandwidth is for. The issue is simple.

1. The people on the flight were acting suspiciously...FACT.
2. They refused to stop or explain what they were doing...FACT.
3. They refused a direct order to get off the aircraft...FACT.
4. At least one of them has KNOWN ties to a terrorist organization..FACT.
5. These are the times we live in...FACT.

The Muslim community at large, which is 99.99% peace loving, has undertaken NO effort to educate the American public as to the normal precepts of Islam, nor has any mainstream Muslim organization condemned or made any public statements distancing themselves from the animals that would destroy us.

Ignorance breeds contempt.

Education can eradicate ignorance.

I would much rather insult and inconvenience 6 people who were beligerent to begin with than allow another tragedy..FACT.

I do NOT agree with everything that's going on in the world today, but I would take any and all steps to protect my country and my fellow Americans.

We cannot help those who do not take steps to help themselves. This is an opportunity for the American Muslim community to educate their fellow citizens...not behave with a chip on their shoulders.

Happy THANKSGIVING everyone....now let's move on already.

Perhaps your "spiritual realm" is some alternate universe that is quite different than Earth reality.

Just like what your "good book", that very few in the US follow, says about the Golden Rule, you know, the one that says treat others the way you would want to be treated.

Twisted? Only from a warped, ingrown perspective.

It is not about treating someone special. It is about treating everyone the same. You might try it someday.

Until the people who sit idly by condoning steak-knife slaughter and homicidal bombings (or who run nonprofit charity groups that fund the slaughter)... until they condemn the people who engage in the abominable actions without reservation then they are complicit.

People who can't bring themselves to unreservedly condemn steak-knife slaughter and homicidal-self-obliteration are simply unqualified to maintain that they are peace loving people of a peaceful religion---regardless of how much "victim-woe-is-me" they spread, or how much they try to educate the "thoughtless, insensitive and ignorant."

If a person can’t condemn those Muslims who have beheaded the infedels, or condemn Ahmadinejad who is a muslim head of state who intends to destroy Israel, they are not interested in peace or qualified to pretend that they are.

Seeing that the police have detained them because of their illegal actions then who is willing to receive them as scholars on peace and education.

Perhaps John Mark Karr should be regarded as a scholar on child protection rather than be treated with insensitivity and suspision.

Don't be a hater... unless its evil.

How much do you want to bet that the crews and staff get a special briefing that day. Personally, I feel sorry for the crew because this is bound to make things uncomfortable.

I treat everyone who is lost, like you, exactly the same with tons of pity.....

No doubt in my mind.

If this crew is in any way disciplined...the next crew may not act upon a situation fast enough that could in fact lead to another 9/11.
I believe that these clerics should be MORE outraged that beheadings are done in the name of Allah...that the rapes and beatings of women in the Taliban are accepted  , that muslim children are being killed everyday by other muslims. THESE are the acts of animals. Have they gone on national TV and voice their contempt of these acts? NO!
So please excuse me if I find their vocal outrage on national TV concerning their 'embarrassment' about being taken off the airplane 'in front of everyone' just a little lame.
