267 shares? What a joke!

If you look at your EPAYS page it gives your total award. Mine is $9854.35 gross....
a little better...but them damn taxes!!

How do these amounts compare to what we got in 2003?

Anyone dumping them on the first day is a fool. The stock is already up $0.75 on the day, and it's only noon.

Not too far from where I sold some of my 2003 shares when you add in the $5 option price...

Seriously, I'd sit on them a while. At least until after 4Q earnings are out on a consolidated basis.

Agreed

Did AA and the unions get a ruling that would permit you to put the stock in your 401k and thus defer the taxes?

Apparently (and I just learned this) there are changes since 2006 which are different from what we had in 2003, that being the immediate recognition of the fare market value of your shares as income.

With options, you'd only be taxed at the time of exercising.

If the value of your stock increases, you'll potentially face capital gains taxes as well. That hasn't changed.

Possibly, when you file your 2013 income taxes.

The share value sounds just like getting a profit sharing check. They (IRS) force the company to automatically withhold more up front, unless you had the ability to funnel it into your 401K, which may or may not have reduced your tax liability (which would depend entirely on how much you're already contributing and whether or not you'd stay under the annual limit).

Not on the pilot end. They are still lobbying for it.

Enough with the profuse thanks to APA in getting the equity to collect on the "me too" clauses (sarcasm alert) ;)
