You're all hat and no cattle, Ace.

P.S. I see 4 "plus votes" for that. While I'm of course personally crushed beyond any chance of ever recovering kiddies, well "Shirley" between those 4 mighty "spartans" and yourself, "you'se" could at least find even ONE of "you'se" with both the spine and AWAsome "pylut" abilites to at least accept my wager?....No? Sigh...Oh well. Best just go check how many more "likes" you're all due for your latest internet "heroics"..."cap'ns keyboards"... :) And yes, I'm laughing at "you'se", but be fair here...Who wouldn't?

Well it will be official after Wednesday. No "Spartan pilot" will have piloted any of our 767's.
Makes me smile, buy more ties fellas.

What happened to all the regulars; nic4, snap, prechill, and cactus1?
And Cleared Direct.

I actually haven't been on this board for quite some time until a first officer brought it up on an Atlantic crossing last summer, but it certainly brings a certain satisfaction that I outlasted the 767s. Many West pilots have been fine to me, but being a commuter, I definitely have my stories. I am sure that there have been East captains that have acted inappropriately to the former AWA pilots also. We all have ours.

Years ago I had asked for a jumpseat out of PHX the day that I earned my 767 rating and I was told by the Napoleon sized captain, upon exiting the cockpit after landing, that I would soon be "pulling the gear" for him. He said this after I had thanked him saying, "Thank you for the ride home." After his comment I just said, "Thank you, gentlemen" and left. He had been hired three years prior me.

Happy to see the 330s on the property and the 757s remain. I had waited years before the merger to fly the 767s and now the 330s. I love both of those aircraft. I was fortunate enough to finally fly them after waiting my turn. Age 65 didn't help. I am sure that I will never be on the triple 7s and that there will be huge fences. For those of you that are young and senior enough to fly them some day, I envy you.

It could never happen to a west pilot. They are the best of the best, of the best, of the best......ect.....ect....ect...., and rightly look forward to taking their place senior to most of the APA group.
Oh no, that honor goes to you. It's your side that is claiming to be the best of the best. The problem is after multiple scraped tails and dented aircraft, you seem to be fixated on West pilots rather than your flying. The last couple of days have been an interesting read discussing the 330 CAVOK wants to sweep under the rug much like the Philly incident and the hard landing with Billy Mays, God rest his soul...

Thread title:
Another eastie ooopise.

Damage to another 330

Clearly a fault of inadequate training...

They were distracted by their conversation regarding, and their contemplation of the ineptitude of West rookie pilots.

Seriously! How many aircraft have the east damaged in the past 10 years! It seems like there is no end to it?

Don't worry. I'm sure they're getting a new 330 soon

Another popular read....RC 9

It's a good one, very popular:

Rc9 It is a long read, but very encouraging if the site of anything US Airways makes you ill. The last vestiges of the industry's worst airline are about to disappear

Actually, you're clueless about the Constitution of the United States.  It protects speech against the government, not disclosure of private or corporate information.

Do you think an employee disclosing company secrets (like the Coca-Cola formula) would be protected by the US Constitution?  What a clod!
I don't pay attention to an Usapian's interpretation of the meaning of clueless

If you'd concentrate on flying rather than obsessing about your imaginary status of aviation superiority, you may have less bent metal and I would not have to look at certain reminders of poor airmanship such as the latest headline:
Another US Airways A330 (N273AY) was damaged yesterday morning (05FEB15) when it collided with the air bridge after arrival on stand at the end of US730 from CLT. It is reported that the pilots released brakes before the chocks were positioned allowing the aircraft to roll forward several meters before coming into contact with the air bridge. This is the second US Airways A330 to be put out of action in 2 months after the incident in CLT involving N788AY on 02DEC14.http://www.airliners.net/aviation-forums/general_aviation/read.main/6307549/
Is this a situation to the west crew who are featured in crew room videos with regard to a similar unfortunate incident in LAS? Either way, unfortunate.

According to their merger arbitration submissions, they indeed did fly the 767.

Very unfortunate indeed, along with those mysterious read files published after the Philly flop #1702

They are all very busy trying to figure out how to make their "NIC or nothing" presentation somehow relevant at the upcoming three way seniority integration. Good luck with that!

Still here and pleased with the process thus far. Nic or nothing works for me.

I understand that when an incident and accident occurs why the press is so quick to pass judgement, but I never understand when a pilot does. You must be the only pilot in on the planet who has never made a mistake and I would truly like to shake your hand for that reason.

But, all of the facts are not out yet. This anonymous report that "the pilots released the brakes before the chocks were in position" is not entirely credible. First of all, it only takes one pilot, usually the captain, to release the brakes; NOT pilots. Perhaps the person who released the brakes had actually received the chocks in signal. Perhaps the jetway was mispositioned, as has happened twice in my career when I stopped the airplane and would have hit the jetway by following the marshaller's signals.

Secondly, the first 330 put out of service was hit by a catering truck not even owned by American, or US Airways for that matter. I received that information directly from one of our 330 check airman who seemed to know more than just reading an anonymous post on the internet.

Thirdly, isn't it a violation of corporate ethics to be posting such photos on a public forum. What satisfaction do you get from violating corporate policy? Can't you at least wait for the results of the investigation to come out.
Would you think, for a union which you supported, to take out a full-page ads which may alarm paying passengers is a good idea?

"The union took out a full-page ad in USA Today on July 22, 2008 claiming US Airways was trying to force pilots to fly unsafe planes.

US Airways denied the allegations, calling them inaccurate and merely a negotiating tactic that's part of a smear campaign against the airline.

It wasn't the first time USAPA published its concerns about the airline. In 2008, the union used another full-page ad in USA Today to declare that pilots were being told to take off with the bare minimum amount of fuel in order to save money
."

Actually, I do not care to discuss the company's fuel program on a public forum.
