Chump change? You are in serious need of a reality check. Or maybe you come from privilage, I don't know. But your statement is an insult to many that would do practically anything to have what you have.

YOU are in serious need of a reality check if you honestly imagine the lasting product of this to be anything more than momentary "chump change", apparently worth selling out your future for now;  Parker/Glass et al now "have your number" and you had best be completely content with ALL the terms you just agreed to, as they will both mark and fully limit the rest of your entire life spent in the airline mode. "But your statement is an insult to many that would do practically anything to have what you have."...? If you're now seeking adoption; follow the family's long-established guidelines:  1) If wrapped in a blue blanket at birth, it's fully expected that you will honorably serve your country in military service, without ever shirking any Duty, or elsewise be properly disinherited and despised. Are we even good here with that much, so far? 2) Whenever competing; there's one positon only that's worth respecting, the champion at the top of the awards podium.  3) etc,?... I'll leave open to your imaginings. Nothing comes for free in this life, nor should it ever.

"many that would do practically anything to have what you have."...? Just exactly what "practically anything" have you ever done in life to now even offer such a naive and utterly foolish perspective? A man either has a moral perspective and acts accordingly, or does not...Need a tissue now?...Or would just a few more pieces of silver make you feel all better? ;) Hint: When the casket's closed or the urn is sealed; It won't make a damn bit of difference how much money any of us ever had. No one alive can ever know what then happens, but I like to think what we do while alive matters  (at least to some small extent) in even this unimaginably vast universe.

Rant over. I do sincerely wish you all the very best in the years to come.

You know damn well that without this merger, you'd still be on LOA93. $125.00/hr top of scale CAPTAIN pay. You eastholes always feel you deserve more. The APA looks like a group of Rhodes scholars compared to USTUPID. Your pay has doubled because of the APA. You were at deaths door before America West bought you arrogant idiots. Be thankful.

And you would be stuck in PHX still... :D  But what's that matter?  You still haven't mastered point/counterpoint.

Since the PHL reps were so against the JCBA, and are so bitterly disappointed that it passed...Is there a form that they could each submit to the company, personally, refusing to accept the pay raise?

So, yet again; Since "you'se" completely dodged this earlier, and you're supposedly "not now and have never been an AWA pilot" Just exactly who do you work for and in what capacity?...Are you at least the predictably dyspeptic, teenaged offspring of an AWA couple?...Or are you simply a full-blown lunatic to be for so long (and insanely angrilly) obsessing on issues that should reasonably provide not even the slightest rational basis for your personal concern and constant drooling of infantile vitriol?

"You were at deaths door before America West.."...? Umm...Really? I hadn't personally noticed so much as even any rise in blood pressure during that period, but it's now certainly good to know that AWA/"sparta" apparently saved even my sorry life back then. Thank "you'se' so very, very much for that "heroic" kindness. ;)

I imagine they will send any excess money to charity.  They certainly wouldn't keep it for themselves.

Negotiating often requires good acting. You have to make the dealer chase after you as you drive away. The PHL reps are probably shopping on line as we speak!

When the company hires the best of the best in the labor relations industry, you are going to lose. But, by losing, they'll make you think that you've won.
Congratulations, winners!
Cheers.

Glass and gang will go on record with showing the country on how to effectively get out of medical cover and avoiding The Affordable Care Act that includes the” Cadillac Tax” Excise on Medical benefits

It's not that easy John. The company cannot just walk away from medical coverage. Obamacare is already under assault from Congress as we speak. Every major corporation in the US will be affected by the Cadillac Tax. The guns haven't even been brought to bear on it yet.

in this blog, Jerry Glass, FHSG's labor expert, is mentioned on how to fix pilot shortage without increasing pay.
Jerry Glass was interviewed by Bloomberg News regarding JetBlue's pilots voting to join the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA), ending the carrier's status as the biggest U.S. airline without a union.
Jerry Glass quoted in BankruptcyNews.com’s Dow Jones Daily Bankruptcy Review regarding Pinnacle and pilot negotiations.

No...But he is a VERY RICH man. He Does what he does best and gets paid very well for saving the company Hundreds of Millions of Dollars.

Actually, top scale captain pay was over $170/hr. and the next step down was about $150, not great but still better than out West. But before ALPA gave our contract away, once considered one of the best in the industry, even the narrow bodies paid over $200 and DC was 27%. One of my first officers told me that his highest pay year was $225,000+ before the merger. Now that the raise was voted in, top pay is more like $290. What was the historic high pay at AWA? I have never even thought to ask.

Question: How does sophomoric pejoratives like "eastholes", "USTUPID", and "arrogant idiots",  disingenuous rhetoric like "America West bought you arrogant idiots", and using little laughing faces further discourse? Do you ever wonder how such posts reflect on the professionalism of the former AWA pilots to outsiders? After all, this is a public forum.
