2015 Fleet Service Discussion

Have you guys noticed the thread started about giving LUS employees the 5.5% 401k match? Have any of you guys in Fleet seen this on your paystubs?

I have seen the thread WeAA  if the 401k is listed on paystub under pretax then I would take it as it is   however I don't think it is    in my case at least bec I contribute some of my own money into my 401k

If your paystub looks the same as ours robbed it would be near the bottom under employer contribution or match as a separate line item.

Just talked to Fidelity NetBenefits.......  they have an update for F/A as of Feb 2 2015 of a match....... Probably due to the fact that they Ratified!......  Fleet Service has not changed or has not been updated......  but i think not till the agreement is signed, if at all...
Cant imagine getting both!!!

So that thread is probably a false alarm then?

Ok Guy's, I will apologize now for the hijack...but I figured this thread could answer it and I didn't want to start a new one or go back pages and try to find a related topic.

Anyway, I just listed my wife on a US metal and have printed the confirmation info. What do I do next or what does she do. Does she just show up at the gate before departure with id??? Or anything else need to be done before she goes? I'm assuming it's by seniority (after US employees)? Thanks in advance.
Despite the lack of ANY feedback or advice from the LUS posters, the wife made it to her destination on US metal and stated every employee was extremely nice.

Congratulations to the new President of TWU local 512 ORD Tim Marting and all those who put in the effort and hopefully continue to put in the effort for those they represent every day. Sometimes it can be a thankless job but it also comes with many rewards just in helping others who need it.

Well.

Looks like the negotiations prep will take even longer. The announced February TWU meetings will now take place in the middle of March and it seems they do not include the IAM.

Sigh! SMH.

And it has nothing to do with the proposed "Association"? This damn thing hasn't even gotten off the ground yet and it has totally screwed the whole process up. Pilots and FA merging of unions went fairly smooth and they are reaping the benefits.

On a secondary note, what is the situation with the 1114, prefunding, retiree issue. Does AA have till the end of time to decide if they are gonna pursue further legal action above and beyond Judge Lane's decision. Is the TWU even inquiring about this, or have they loaded their plate so full that can't even carry the crap back to the table. This whole equity, prefunding, Association mess is freaking unbelievable.

Maybe the TWU and IAM have sent the NMB so much conflicting info that they are having a hard time deciphering it. Maybe both continue to bombard the NMB with self serving info that it has the their heads spinning!

--The NMB has nothing to do with the TWU and IAM getting together to prepare for negotiations. They can even start talking to the airline to see where the starting point might be. The earlier we get started the more information can be gathered and the more prepared we'd be. Waiting until the NMB decides something, then getting ready is a huge waste of time.

--The 1114 is still part of the AMR BK and there is little that can be done to push that since it is in Judge Lane's hands. I'd suppose he won't push for anything because it keep the 40K plus retiree with their current coverage.

--The Equity is held up by the Early Out appealing the decision made to dismiss their lawsuit.

Maybe.

Although the TWU situation is much more difficult than the APA and APFA submissions.
