2015 AMT Discussion

The association will be distracted with the recent announcement of the closing of TEASL. More delays for us but for the unions they will continue to receive dues from the members. What's the rush?

So now what? How will this delay negotiations? Shouldn't. Disappointing to say the least. I had heard they were trying to get RR to expand to V2500s but they weren't interested.

Damn... I'm sorry to hear that.
2nd that.
The old "well you get to move to CHI, LA or NYC" talk is almost as bad as the "well your getting furloughed" talk.
best of luck to all those effected.

I heard AA wanted to do the V2500, Trent 700 and/or Trent XWB.

doesn't sound at all like AA wasn't trying to save it, sounds like Rolls wanted out. Like i said in the other thread, I think Rolls is pissed AA went GE on the 787.

Terrible news for TASEL.  Can't say I'm surprised though.  I'm thinking this is the first of several closings.  On another note.  There is no truth to the rumor that United has a TA.  This rumor is going around.  I checked the United Blog and it is not true.

That's just the beginning. This is why I think negotiations have not started. The Association is holding back info from the members. Probably sworn to secrecy by the company to keep the A6 passes for its officers and families.

a bold prediction but i think next week we will get another update, progress is being made, complicated task we will meet again next month.....bullshit bullshit bullshit.... we wont see a contract till 2020 and it will be a behind the scenes death by a thousand cuts by the iam and uscare airways. Tulsa will probably be next until we are all gone!

Yes this is terrible news.  However, I do remember reading that this was going to happen a long time ago, hence your "I'm not surprised" comment.  You guys are right, Tulsa is next to get hit, and this was told to you guys as well.  The hammer is starting to come to light, and Tulsa will start to feel it next. You guys were told and told, again and again that this was coming, we all read it on here and here it is coming to reality.  Most of you guys in Tulsa were blowing off the threats at Tulsa as well as at Tasel.  And here they are now coming to light.  I hate to hear this bad news but you guys were warned plenty of times during the AMFA card drive of what was coming in the future, and most of you thought it was all just AMFA threats to get more cards signed, well now you know...
