Its his future not yours. 700 can you guarantee a 56 year old man won't be forced into the IAMPF
Yes 700 make me and this "TWU membership" that guarantee.

BTW

What does Actuarial Value and Fair Value mean?

Why does the IAM want the TWU membership to join the IAMPF?

No one is touching your underfunded frozen pension, especially not the IAMNPF.

But you all know this but you have to use scare tactics, what were you just saying about the TWU?

And now your doing what you accuse them of.
No I am accusing you.

Yep like usual you all have to attack the poster when the discussion doesn't fit your narrative

If the IAMNPF took over your frozen pension which is almost two billion dollars underfunded it would force the plan into the red and the PBGC would force the plan to take drastic actions or prevent from happening in the first place.

And the plan wouldn't do it as its required to their fiduciary responsibility.

Following your lead...

according to a Doug Parker Town Hall:

The American Frozen Pension meets the Airline Standard, I believe he said 85% and AA meets that obligation.

700 I don't believe the frozen plan will be touched, I want your opinion  do you think we will have a choice in plans? IAMNPF or 401 ????

I honestly don't know, I would certainly hope you get the choice, read the LOA.

Do you actually think he's going to abandon his beloved IAMNPF in favor of a 401k?  This guy has been over the top on his devotion to this union backed pension plan.  He still defends it in spite of "adjustments" made to payouts so that it can remain fully funded.

Why don't you try to ask Doug Parker at one of his town hall meetings this question?  You may get a little less biased opinion.

Playing the cheerleader for the IAMPF are you 700, at lease when retire in a few years my frozen pension will be the same as it is and not 40% cut to it.

If you actually read, you would know that I am not in the IAMNPF, I only have my terminated pension with the PBGC, and I still can't collect it got another year.

I would think the company has an X amount of dollars they will contribute to ones pension fund, they probably don't care where it goes. It is the IAM  faction of the Association that is pushing for the IAMNPF, and that faction is the group that needs to be addressed and I'm sure they are being pressured into pushing the plan. Any reasonable person would opt for a choice
