In this day and age 1400 app's for a pilot position isn't squat. In 2 weeks, what does that show? Did you get one from mohamed atta? More than that sign up for garbage men in NYC. I worked there I know first hand of the lies. Just because I moved on does not mean I will forget.

Nice post! Unbelievable why anybody would want to work for that scab outfit. Oh yeah a bunch of rich pimple faced kids in there 20's with 250 hours TT.
Funny...Im 40.....actually pretty much mortgaged out the arse, 5500 hours with heavy wide body experience, been a checkairman and I applied. If I was in my 20's rich and pimplefaced......I'd be trying to get into med school!

It's how many ARE qualified, not is qualified. Anyway as posted previously, all 1400 met the NWA minimum requirements which were quite high. since NWA will only hire about 300-350, they can be quite selective.
I thought you had announced on another board, that you were quitting NWA months ago. Did you?

Since you have refusd to post the "quite high" minimums, I'll do it for you:
1500 hours Total flight time
1000 hours Multi-engine
500 hours PIC
Airline Transport Pilot Certificate, Multi-Engine or ATP Written
First Class Medical
FCC Restricted Radio permit
Valid Passport with the ability to enter and exit all international destinations, including the ability to travel in and out of the United States
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Willingness to work a flexible schedule (including holidays and weekends)
Proficient reading, writing and speaking in English
Effective interpersonal, customer service, organizational, and leadership skills
Pass pre-employment drug screen, medical exam and background check
High School graduate or equivalent (college degree preferred)
Now, please share with the class just how it is you absolutely know for sure that everyone of these 1400 applicants meet the above. Anything will do; job title, internal memo, pick something...
Maybe you are on the "inside;" your out of hand dismissals of everyone's points without facts to back them up smacks of the usual NWA mgmt. hubris.
You should stick to posting on A.net where your pseudo air of superiority is better received....The 14 year olds over there might dig it, but I for one do not.
P.S. Just an FYI, spelling flames/corrections are weak, and only serve to cover up the lack of a compelling argument.

Did all of you who doubted it when I said that all 1400 applicants met the minimum requirements. In the latest Passages it states that NWA sent out 1700 applications to QUALIFIED applicants after the on line screening process. So Jenny, I guess that means you are wrong again, along with your buddies. Of course if you had quit like you said you were doing, then maybe you don't get Passages any more.
