I haven't heard if the TWU committee voted to bring this to the membership. Hasn't this been the usual practice? If so, considering the impending elections, the membership should know how their reps voted. Also, there are "no guns pointed at the heads" of the negotiator as they claimed in 03'. Let's not get'em next time, let's get'em NOW.

Most all MCI well vote NO. :p
Didn't listen to us on the snapback last time!!!!!
They won't care now either LOL!
Can I vote to have the IAM back!!! <_<

They drag their feet for two years and no retro. On top of that it becomes a three year deal that in three years will take another two years to negotiate mmaking it a five year contract on top of th eight years we just went through for a grand total of 13 years. Retro is the only way for this POS company to stop the two year stall tactics during negotiations. let them pay the 13K owed to us from the amendable date of the contract. better yet VOTE NO and tell them to up the anti.

No retro pay but at least the new concessions aren't retroactive.

A 6% lump sum is equivalent to 3% retro for the past two years.

Of course this TA is concessionary - did anyone seriously expect otherwise? Your employer has lost several billion dollars in the seven years since the last concessionary contract and $452 million in the first 90 days of this year. Those numbers generally lead to concessions, not pay raises.

Bob

Were you at negotiants???? If so who on the committee decided to push this through to us???

Why is the Pole Question worded erroneously?

It should be worded:

"How will you vote on the TA?"

What I think has no relevance on how I will vote..

FIX IT... in the name of accuracy

Then shut the damn doors and let companies that know what they're doing survive.

<_< ------- Hey Bubba! Did you notice the date on the "jobs protection clause"? ------ Oh by the way, they are right on one point, during the so call integration of employees!------ The IAM/ AFL/CIO, screwed us also!!! And are those still on the payroll when they shut the door, going to get those local 530 jackets, or not?

I'm just extremely upset that the union's negotiating committee allowed this pos proposal to get this far . It's nothing but an insult to everyone in M&E and it makes me sick . Do not vote yes or we all are going to be doomed . Its designed to divide and conquer the membership . NO NO NO NO

No, I'm just asking what people think the result will be.
How can I ask people here how they will vote when it's not just mechanics who read and post on this forum...

Geez,,,I'm just asking what people think the outcome will be and in return get a lecture on it.

I'm a NO vote too, but i THINK it will pass....
Feel free to start your own poll on how people will vote and I'll keep my poll and see what people think....

This poll is for EVERYONE here, not just mechanics.

Sorry Man.. Didn't mean to come off abrasive..

You and I are on the same page here...

I'm a no vote.. But throwing $6k to the Okies and nada but $2 bucks an hour to the line are some shrewed tactics.. And the Okies will bite..

Without Retro there is no accountability..

No problem, I was just trying to get a feel from ALL on this forum....
And you're right about TULE, they got quite a bone thrown to them....

I believe the company has "plans" for TULE that might open up the eyes of the potential yes votes based there.

Whether this contract passes or not will be determined solely by how short-sided the membership is. If people look only at the minimal pay raise and settle for the pittance it will pass. If a person under 50 with hopes of retiring at 60 votes yes, then that person would have to be illiterate. What will be entertaining is how the TWU negotiating team try to soft sell this abortion. Im on record as a definite NO vote but I believe our fellow mechs are going to get swindled and vote Yes. :(

THE LINE DOES NOT GET THE 6% lump sum.

The union will sell this issue as "Well, the line guys are getting $2.00!"
I hope everyone here realizes that Steve Luis is buying his next election as Local President..

He's gonna walk around the floor and shops and say "See, look what I got for you.......who cares about the line mechanics?"

Pilots and F/A's were discussing this today on the crew bus. The general consensus seems to be that you all would be crazy to allow this to pass. It is truly a divide and conquer in every sense of the word.
