All former TWA people rightfully belong at the bottom of the seniority lists. If anything "bad" happens at AA, the TWAers will be the first to go.

Quoted in the spirit of being human - not!

Ahh..but you don't seem to have a problem when some of the TWAers wish for an Icahn style takeover of AA so the "nAAtives can suffer the same fate as the TWAers". Icahn, TWA management, the IAM and ALPA screwed you people, not the nAAtives. Most NAAtives feel (as 767jetz I believe stated on another board) that one group should not be able to repair their decimated careers on the backs of others; and the TWAers are bitter at the nAAtives because they were unable to do so; so some wish us a fate similar to their own.

Exactly. Well said, aafsc.

They demand respect but give none themselves.

I have read more than enough posts on this board, written by TWAers, expressing hope that AA suffers exactly the fate you described in your post.

I can no longer have empathy for a group that wishes me ill.

<_< ---- The only thing my posting proves Straaightaalk is that you, and your grouping, are the most paranoiac! I wish you'all no ill well, I pity you!!!

Hardly paranoid. Just realistic, and based on your consistent posting style and undertone, I am 100 percent correct.

Actually, I think the pity would be wasted on me, but would serve you better. Why not use that energy to counteract that bitterness which seems to be eating you alive?

StrAAight -

I have learned to be very careful with sweeping generalizations. I know for a fact that there are 2100 (+) furloughed APFA represented flight attendants pulling for AA to be wildly successful; our long and storied careers hinge on that outcome.

It is my opinion that most conclusions drawn from reading this board are rarely supported by reality. I want to thank you for your outspoken support for the recall of furloughed AA flight attendants and ask that you reconsider withdrawing that support.

Today marks the first day that a recalled, former TWA flight attendant will/can work a flight as a fully integrated AA crew member. I hope you have a chance to meet these individuals. I am confident you will come away with the more accurate perception that they (we) are just people who want the opportunity to restart a career we terribly miss. That a recall will provide much needed relief to the active AA flight attendants makes this a win-win proposition.

Here's to wishing prosperity on AA and all who work, and want to work, toward that goal.

In Solidarity,

Hunter

So, are you saying that the TWA people who post on this board don't reflect the viewpoint of the majority of TWA people?

I'm finding that very difficult to believe.

My empathy for your plight is gone, and that saddens me.

And I could blindly form a negative view of all nAAtives by the opinions and ill will of a few. I and most people I know have through time chosen to rise above that. I dont see it so black and white anymore. I cringe at some of the things I see MCI post. He does not reflect the opinions of all of us, as I hope that you do not reflect the opinions of all nAAtives.

Based on most of the posts I have seen on this board by TWAers, though, I do believe they have "blindly formed a negative view of all nAAtives by the opinions and ill will of a few." It works both ways.

You cannot demand respect, and give none in return.

That's where your bias and lack of respect really does show.

I was one of the few that all along, even when my flying partners looked at me like I was crazy, argued that AA should be recalling, and told my coworkers that we should have empathy. As a line flight attendant, that was not an easy position to take. I was happy to see APFA come out with Skyword Express a few weeks ago, but now I am seriously rethinking my position.

By your continued disrespect, and the obvious assumption by TWAers that all nAAtives wanted them gone, you have lost a great ally.

Your fellow TWAers would not have gotten more support from anybody than from me.

Very sad.

With all due respect to everyone, if you "feel" a gravitational pull, it's me attempting to "channel" this thread back to the FINANCIAL aspect of the initial reports about AA and wall street !

OK, FWAAA.
Your Overdue to chime in here on yesterdays AA/Wall street action !

<_< ---- Hey straaighttalk!---- I've put it behind me! Can you????

I have nothing to put behind me. I never had any animosity towards TWA people. I am basing my new perception on what I have read on these boards.

I don't know anybody from TWA personally, so I have to go on the assumption that what I read here is representative of how they really feel.

With costs in line, a strong market share, and 6.4 billion in cash. Private equity firms and others will be taking a good look at AA.

Just hope that this guy doesn't get to interested in AMR.

Very sad indeed...Oh well, I am not so hardend and closed that I can't say that I was wrong in past for judging all naatives by the ill will of a few.
If the last five years have taught me anything its that struggle builds character, and hatred destroys it....or something like that.

I'd suggest that you keep two things in mind: one, a tiny percentage of the workforce is active on this or any other bulletin board, and two, forums and bulletin boards seem to attract a disproportionate number of negative people.

I'm a former TWA FA, and have expressed no hatred or bitterness toward AA natives. I'm sure the percentage of them I don't enjoy flying with will be approximately equal to the number of TWA people I didn't enjoy flying with.

No offense meant Straaight but that is a huge mistake on your part. The majority of those complaining on these boards are the minority when you look at the big picture. Now with that being said the TWA "debacle" is a very sore spot for many but please don't make the mistake of taking the words of a few on these boards make you think that that is the attidude of many. It soon becomes a war of words and personal attacks out the you know what.

Just my opinion....... :)
