More carnage under Obama's watch.

Dow stumbles to 6-year low
CNN Link
Bank stocks lead the retreat, pushing the blue-chip indicator to levels not seen since October 2002.
Wall Street has struggled lately on worries that the U.S. government's various plans to soften the recession won't work in the face of an accelerating global slowdown.

Just curious if you recall who was President in 2002?

I don't think he was a Libertarian was he?

Hmmm Not generally known as a Liberal was he?

Who was that economy killing President?

I give up I don't hear an answer but I do hear a question.

If Obama and his policies are to blame now, then who would be to blame in 2002?

Tooth Fairy perhaps?

You don't recall that 9/11 thingy?
You don't recall the rebound where the Dow reached 14K+ in 2007?
You don't recall the democrats causing this economic crisis?
You dont recall Bush trying to prevent the crisis back in 2001?

NO! What I recall is the continued immoral confiscation of my wages since Woodrow Wilson until this very day.

What I recall is the perversion of the US Constitution in the name of National Security.

What I recall is the Patriot Act robing citizens of their freedoms

What I recall is invading an oil rich dictatorship under UN auspices in the name of Freedom and Liberty when in fact the invasion perverted our personal Freedoms and brought us closer to a dictatorship.

Economy's rise and fall based on their own schedule in response to events not politicians

You cannot uphold American ideology with un-American actions

Are you frikkin kidding me???? Seriously....what freedom of yours personally has been robbed from via Patriot Act?....Zilcho
Your arse has been covered and protected during the bush administration, but as of now with the Messiah...all bets are off.

Do you remember the Iraq war thingy?
Do you remember the fact that the DOW dropped to 9600 by Jan 20th when W left office?
Did you forget that screwing up the nation is a bi-partisan endeavor?

BTW, any right taken from one person in the US is a right taken away from all of us. I have never been arrested but that does not mean I am not damn glad that we have Miranda rights.

Yes I agree, no one has had their Miranda rights taken away last time I checked. Some how the logic that jihadists captured on the battlefield should, is utterly ridiculous.

...I am sure all who were captured and went to the prisons were guilty as charged.

If I pick you up on a street in a bad neighborhood and hold you for 5 years and give you no chance to explain your actions...what say you?

Are you kidding me????

You see no difference in picking up a jihadist on a battlefield and someone on American soil in "bad neighborhood"???

You think a battlefield equates to a "bad neighborhood"???

Want an answer crap for brains?

I have by virtue of having a common name have ended up on the TSA watch list. Why? Because a suspected and as yet unidentified terrorist happened to have used my name as an alias.

Never mind that there is no photo of this individual that I can find due to the Patriot Act restrictions on information. So to the average citizen is now on a list through no fault of their own that may restrict ther freedom of movement

And don't sit there and lecture me about the process to have my name removed from the watch list. Why should I as a citizen of the United States take one second out of my day to take my name off a list that should not exist!

When you pervert the basic ideal that this country was founded upon you joined the list of totalitarian nations. The only thing left to determine is the level of subversion of the Constitution.

You'd also do well to note the the Obamacrats haven't moved to repeal the Patriot Act? Want to know why? Because they are just a different shaped turd in the Washington cesspool of morally bankrupt politicians whose goal is to subvert our freedoms without us knowing.

So what? Everything you enjoy today is because of the crackdown on what lead us to 9/11. So your solution is to return to 9/10? Is that what your trying to say?

My brother in laws name is on a watch list. Makes taking a flight a bit of a pain, and did I mention he's a cop. Not that it matters to the folks at the TSA.

The Price of Freedom is Risk! So short answer is YES
Go tell that to the families of 9/11 victims. You still enjoy your freedom, the price of freedom is a mere inconvenience to you. And yet you choose to whine about it. Oooo poor baby.

How much freedom are you willing to give up to ensure your illusion of freedom? Mr. Franklin said Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.

You seem to believe that all these security measures have made us safer. Yet thousands of civilians have crossed our boarders and live unknown among us. Do you think if a terrorist cell chose to cross in the the US that they would not be able to do so at will? I seriously doubt they have not done so because of any technical obstacles. More than likely it is because they have done as much damage as they need to do and we are just doing their work for them. We are paranoid and scared. We are spending our self into a hole and we have shattered most of our relationships with the rest of the world.

You asked for a personal example of what freedoms were sacrificed. You were given an example of two. Does it not matter unless it happens to you?

Nancy Reagan was against stem cell research till she realized that there might have been a possibility that the knowledge gained from such research could have helped her husband.

It's funny how no one cares about the rights that were given up till one day they realize the rights given up affect them. Then it's a whole different ball game.
