WN Mechanics seek mediation

I have said it and will repeat. Seham and his legal RLA strategy has never survived with the big boys. His first expieriment was NWA. Agreed to unenforceable scope language in exchange for money and was destroyed in short term trying to negotiate follow up language. Made bunch money in legal fights. USAPA complete failure. No outcome. Keep following strategy. Feel for hard working good SWA techs. Gonna be long extended process. The Pom Pom crowd won't admit and attack but I don't care . Let them dispute and call whatever derogatory names. Got thick skin. The facts are the facts. Maybe they can dig Seham out of his gopher hole and let him explain his strategy moving forward on the road shows. Have no idea why he would not be in attendance. Paid enough. Good luck. Your probably going to need it!!!
I personally think AMFA will implode here, sharks are in the water, nothing seems to be moving, so we will see, road shows should be fun!

Unlike the industrial unions WE are AMFA and anyone claiming their (our) demise as an imminent possibility is delusional. If the membership was dead set on voting for whatever the company presented we could make that happen. Not one person spoke up in favor of that notion at the union meeting in July and most opposed med-arb.

Just because you keep saying we are AMFA, well if you cannot get an agreement and the membership turns on you someday, and you change unions because they didn't see the results that they wanted, does not change we are Southwest mechanics, we just changed representation, just like the American people have elections!

I assume the road shows will be off company property and held down at the hotel at end of runway. Not sure if they will be taking any kind of votes on how to proceed from there, but they might, never know. Pretty sure there will be a lot of new faces at the road shows with all the questions since most do not attend the reg. monthly meetings for the updates outside of the written updates posted on AMFA's site. The people solely believing the company updates need to attend. The last update was full of lies yet again.

If they are really serious of having a road show they will come to the stations at the hangars, or line where we can have the discussions, since most don't come to the off sites, or the company looks better, and don't be arrogant to these guys because they are angry and you will lose them, like the arrogance I have seen on this board!

If the majority 50% + 1 is not happy with results it is quite likely AMFA will be challenged. Should not be very surprising. If you were not satisfied with the service,or in this case results,of say your cell phone carrier you would change carriers.

It's amazing swamt u got advice and input into every other airline Mx negotiating tactics but no insight in to your own dilemna. You have polluted your mind in the Amfa philosophy and can not show progress but continue to criticize other groups. you will not address the issues I brought up months ago and refuse to address the Seham tactics and philosophies. That is amfas head legal counsel. Admit he put you guys in a box. It is alright to admit failure and quit blaming on everyone else. Your time to stand up and shine and explain your bargaining tactics besides - we will wait em out!!!

So ur plan is???????? We will wait em out. Nice negotiating tactics. Seham strategy and advice put you in a box. A small one at that. When the suits go thru litigation might not be pretty for Amfa as whole. Days are numbered!

I hear less and less on strike talk, everyone is scared of that, and more and more on representation replacement !

I think the best way to proceed would be for AMFA to post its version of the scope article 2 language and the companies version of scope article 2 language online. AMFA always boast transparency then lay it out in writing for the affected to see. Any other major contract changes should be posted also. This should be done before any roadshows so the membership is clearly informed. Unorthodox, maybe. But, after 5 years the membership needs clear info in writing to see where we stand. The roadshows would have a lot better input if we have it in writing.

Other issues I would like to see addressed. Loss of license insurance/ job loss insurance. Our liability is thru the roof. The pilots have it. If a layoff happens can you take your profit sharing? Things that directly benefit the dues paying members.

Because you are just as delusional as he is.
How many cards have you collected?
Go ask the voices in your head and get back to me. I'll wait.
Ok smart guy I hear mechanics, inspectors, instructors, and others saying from different stations, that if we do not get something soon, they are saying AMFA days are numbered, we will see what happens, you have to play this chess game correctly, even the AMFA pom pom we have around are not cheering !
