WN Mechanics seek mediation

Track Record
This latest scheme, backed by Seham's group may have a new name, but their claims of offering legal services, is their usual foot in the door to exploit workers. What goes on behind the backs of the workers they represent is the most abhorrent.

In fact, their law firm of Seham and Seham has represented corporations – including airlines such as TWA, SAS, El Al, Varig and Air Lingus – in legal actions against workers and unions, opposing workers' rights for years. A few examples:

  • Seham represented Varig's effort to block a union election as far back as 1983;
  • SAS used Seham to block the Teamsters from honoring picket lines during an Eastern Airlines strike in 1989;
  • A lawyer from Seham's firm even helped write a manual for employers called "Fire at Will, Terminating Your Employees Legally."
  • When the Allied Pilots Association (APA) at Air West found they were representing management against unions behind their backs, they fired McCormick.

You had your scope, and just screwed yourself for who knows how long, for money! You know what you and your Lieutenants brow beat me on this Forum how I just wanted the money , and how important scope was. So you just contradicted yourself and now you want money. But you and AMFA underestimated SWA management, and now with ETOPS only weeks away what card do you have?

Actually I didn’t pick up on that driver. You’re 100% right. They were busting your chops that you were greedy and just wanted money and that they were fighting for Scope.

Well look at them now. What a bunch of phonies. Hypocrites.

Weazz you just remember that when Swampy gives you guys **** in American's backyard how your Association sucks and they are lying to you, and how you guys need to throw them out.

Only one making out on this deal is Seham, the longer this crap continues on, they collecting coin. Flat out stupid, kids were in grade school when this crap started, and now in college, and yet we still here, playing this game. I'll be lucky if this #$%# is done by my retirement. By the way, how is things going over at American, you guys still trying to cement a deal, what's the sticking point, money or ? Thanks....

Dgaf I may get alot of little red xs, but I don't give a ****. I say the Dam is going to break on AMFA with their lies and deceptions on this membership. Especially when SWA has their ETOPS, without our contract, the if you just vote No, the company has another offer with no strings attached. Especially if this goes past August, and we are starting year 8! Just let that sink in for a minute. How much better a craft union is better than an Industrial union. Sometimes you just have to sit back and let Karma take over. However I am sure we will enrich Seham for a lawsuit trying to block the ETOPS flights. Go Figure! :)

First WN proving run, wait I thought AMFA was going to file a lawsuit to stop this? Lol

Southwest first Hawaii test flight.
#8725 OAK-HNL
On February 5 2019
departure 11:00
Arrival 14:45

AMFA didn’t even get an honorable mention in this news release?

“The airline has been racing to get certification to start offering the flights, which it expected to do last year. It said the partial government shutdown delayed its plans to start selling tickets because FAA inspectors were furloughed. Another partial shutdown is possible this month, since only a short-term deal was reached, and another impasse could delay the approval of the Hawaii flights once more.

"It has impacted our certification process for Hawaii," CEO Gary Kelly told CNBC last month about the shutdown.”

Wrong again. I have always weighed scope and retro the same.

Nope don't believe you, you were about the money! I was as long as our scope kept our numbers the same, and we got a decent raise, I was ok with it. You sir and your Lieutenants are after the money.
