WN Mechanics seek mediation

I do know Charles from years back, no not Chuck
From years back? You never worked at UAL. For all I know- you might be chuck drake, but I’m fairly certain you’re not Rex. Regardless- he’s (chuck) just as divisive as the company.

If you worked United you know what those guys went through. Just because someone is tired of this taking Forever doesn't mean they are divisive.

Pretty sure with the UPS AIP coming out soon, the AS rejection of their T/A,

What airline is AS- I would think Alaska, but they have a contract I Thought?

Yes AS is Alaska. Yes they do have a contract but were/are working on a JCBA for the merger of Alaska and Virgin mechanics as well as seniority integration.

No one has a clue what the co. may or may not do.
The co. would be absolutely stupid to try and re-open any TA'd articles just because the majority did not vote for it. The co. never took more away from the Pilots after they voted it down the first time.
Some have heard co. nego's mention that they think that it may not pass, so they are prepared for a possible no vote. They no they are shorting the numbers in the snap up %, the no raise in 2018 by changing the contract date. They also know that by removing that 2.75 as well as pulling the station protection out from the Jan 2018 offer would generate a lot more no votes.
We also know the co. is really wanting to get this behind them with all the investigations going on with FAA, DOT etc... Why else did they so quickly yank the scope asks off the table??? In hopes to get this done very quickly. Not saying we would have a repeat of our last 92% no vote with the co. back at the table within one week and got it done (we don't have the same management folks running nego's or making the decisions) but I would expect we would head back to the table to tweak or adjust whatever it might take to get a quick resolution. Don't waste your breath on them. They're scared and we're not.

Not scared- but I also don’t blindly follow other people choices without looking at it for myself. I’m a no vote solely because of the money. I also don’t live in a fantasy world where people seem to think they can only reopen the economics. As far as the 2.75, I wouldn’t waste any time/energy for that because we’re already well past that ratio.

Why do you attack , just because someone doesn't think like you do. You guys keep thinking you will get this huge No vote, you're the ones running scared with your vote no bracelets. This might be like 2008, and pass.

The reason we even got the 2.75 was because of SWA planes going to EL Salvador, so now you are referred back to Article 2 scope for your work protection. Is it any good, who knows until you had to challenge it.

You would know an attack when you see one. Anyone that doesn't agree with you then you call them

The pilots and both F/A rejections were almost a year past the rejection Date, so if the no voters are happy with that. It will not be a quick solution. So if it next year no big deal.

The pilots changed their union leadership and negotiators after the first one failed- so that added time to get a new agreement. Without that extra time it was about 8-9 months.
Even without adding 2% to 2012, but adding 3% to every other year, our base pay is short ~2.50/hr. I know they added $1 to license premium, but that’s on them- that shouldn’t count towards what our base pay SHOULD be.
