Wisconsin

I know of the MNPL gig with IAMAW...no problem there.
Like I already asked several times now, how DNC get all this friggin union cash?
Duh??
Too hard to understand?

IAMAW=IAMAW INT'L=AFLCIO=DNC or am I wrong?

HOW DO THEY DO IT?

Scott Walker is a Douche. A poor excuse for a Republican if you ask me. The Teachers Union and the Democrats run a very close second.

Point of fact:

Teachers in EVERY state are overpaid when the "back end" such as Health care and Pensions are concerned. I have been a Corporate Trainer for years, traveling the USA for one of the largest most well respected companies in the world. My compensation is above average and I pull down close to 70K with benefits I contribute about $300/month to have. Additionally I have no defined pension benefit, just a nice 401K which is well funded by me and the company. Average in WI is nearly $100K with no contribution to health care or retirement. The gap is far to wide between public/private/corporate education. It must be brought in line.

Additionally, teachers represent one of the only groups that has virtually NO ACCOUNTABILITY for their job performance. Kids can't read? tough I get my raise. Walker blames this on unions. I'd remind Mr Walker that EVERY union contract has TWO sets of signatures. Just because your cronies in the political class have no testosterone is not the fault of organized labor and to seek to punish them for being better negotiators just smacks at the arrogance of the political class. Don't blame the unions for your sides failure.

To the teachers. be real, the country is broke, in fact we make the steel industry collapse look like a day at the beach. It's your turn to take the hit so bend over and take it like a man. The Airlines did, steelworkers did along with countless others. Get over yourselves as the gravy train derailed in Madison, WI.

To Gov Walker if you don't have the testicles for the hardball negotiations then resign an let someone who does have a whack at it. Don't try to alter the rules to the game. Grow some nuts and negotiate. If the laws in WI allow you to fire teachers for failing to report to work and you can prove that the thousands of so called "Doctors Notes" are fraudulent then perhaps you should do as RR did with the Air Traffic Controllers.

Leadership is having the courage of your convictions to stand up and be counted and not fiddle fornicate with backroom politics to set the stage for 12 electoral votes to go the your party in 2012 and we all know that's what this is really all about

Good Post!

Today, Walker ordered the windows of the capitol welded shut. As I type this, there is a line of police blocking all entrances to/from the capitol, in violation of the state's constitution.

Corporate fascism is alive and well in the US. :(

Given that Unions are out to get as much as they can regardless of the consequences and companies want to screw over the workers as much as possible regardless of the consequences I suspect it will never change. Until both mentalities change, we will continue to have the same result.

You really need to lay off those Alternet/KOS blogs. There was no welding of windows. Bolted, yes. Welded? Not quite.

How is dems refusing to do their elected job equate to "corporate facism"?

Still waiting for your response to post #81

Gov. Scott Walker on Monday afternoon responded to comments President Barack Obama made earlier in the day about the protests in Madison:

Walker's office issued this statement:
http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/news/117101638.html

"I'm sure the President knows that most federal employees do not have collective bargaining for wages and benefits while our plan allows it for base pay. And I'm sure the President knows that the average federal worker pays twice as much for health insurance as what we are asking for in Wisconsin. At least I would hope he knows these facts.

"Furthermore, I'm sure the President knows that we have repeatedly praised the more than 300,000 government workers who come to work every day in Wisconsin.

"I'm sure that President Obama simply misunderstands the issues in Wisconsin, and isn't acting like the union bosses in saying one thing and doing another."

Wait, from what I've seen on here Unions don't donate to candidates. Either all of these news organizations are lying or the resident expert is all wet....hmmmmmm. I wonder....
