Will AA top DAL's $1B offer for JAL?

American would rather invest in JAL so it can produce revenue for OneWorld. I guess investing in it's own employees to generate revenue is far from the basics of how to run an airline 101.

"American stands ready to make a significant investment in JAL and remains confident that an American-JAL partnership can readily obtain antitrust immunity as early as the middle of next year, which would allow JAL to realize approximately $100 million in revenue annually in future years."

True, then they will tell us just how good it is for employees, while, as we speak, the company is asking for more permanent concessions.
