the iam is locked into thier contract till 2009. The teamsters are currently in negotiations with the company for a new contract.

The Railway Labor Act states that
the union has the right to file a “Section 6â€￾
notice with the NMB to commence
bargaining on behalf of the newly created
craft and class at a merged airline. When
a union does this, the company is bound
by law to negotiate.

it looks like they are not locked up till 2009 if they don't want to.

U been around some 50 or more years there clownman....
