NFW>>Not another one....

Once around, 21 yrs IS PA -LENTY for me.thank you very much...

If my airline went out of biz I would not want to go back into the industry, I'd look somewhere else.

The irony of it all is this poll is that the only carriers you say you want to work for is the LCCs. Is it their ability to succeed which flows down to the employees or is it a recognition that the LCCs really do have better business model, even for the employees?

I agree, once this nickle and dime operation goes belly up...Im gone from this circus business for good. Let the kids out of school take over. Even at our current pay rates, it's not worth the daily aggrivation and stress. It was a 25 year ride, but now, Ill be glad when it stops.

WN is an LCC who pays their employees more then anyother major airline. And they are the highest % of unionized employees and they have been profitible for like 15 years or more straight.

US use to compare our wages to them, but then realized they make more then us!

Wonder what they will do, if U has the lowest pay and is still not making a profit?

World, the ones that would want to go back mostly pick Southwest because they have the best wages in the industry right now for CS, Res, Ramp, Mechanics and I would think FAs too. It will be real intresting to see what will happen with WN if the legacy carriers get wages such as the ones proposed at USAir.

Yeah RIGHT! I don't believe for ONE minute that any of you who said you wouldn't work in the industry again. You honesty don't know how good you have it. I was furloughed from U after 3 years. After that, I worked in the "9-5" world of one of the nation's fastest growing banks. HA! What a joke! Who wants to do that same old crap day after day with no excitement? No travel benefits. No nothing. Let me just tell ya, it SUCKS! For a lot of you people, this airline is/was your first job, so you know no different. Well, let me tell you, it really is true that once the airline industry gets in your blood, it's in for good. I finally got back into the industry (no, not MDA) and am enjoying life again. So the bottom line is enjoy it while you've got it. You might hate it now, but once it's gone, you'll be yearning for it every single day.

They have been profitable every year since 1973. Assuming 2004 is profitable, and it should be....that will make 32 consecutive years of profitability.

They have not had a quarterly loss since 1992 or 93.

HE*L NO!

I am like alot of others, once around is plenty also. Better to work in another chosen field and make enough money to pay for tickets without the Hassle of non-revving.
