We R Not In This Alone

mweiss,

Again, you are correct - I was being a little sarcastic of "the plan".

Most of what Siegel/Bronner want in unit cost reductions could be accomplished by implementing the ideas discussed in various places on this forum.

Jim,

sorry...as I said before, it's a pity emotions don't come through more clearly in this medium.

OBTW, I suspect that the suggestions made here would produce more savings than the concessions.

The IAM-M will likely lose the A320 heavy overhaul maintenance grievance and if they refuse to negotiate in the Going Forward Plan, Bronner will just get rid of the mechanics work. It's the mechaincs choice to cost effectively conduct maintenance in-house or have the A320 work sub-contracted.
where exactly do you get you insightful wisdom?
you have stated before IAM will lose as management always wins.....you seem to be a management lackey...i know this for a fact...why do you not get the elections for mec pres you seek?
have your minions seen the real you??
maybe it is they've seen your siding with U management time and time again...
after all you're on record saying you've shared a stall..excuse me i mean cockpit with glass and siegel....
would it be prudent to say you fly in a glass cockpit??
have a great US Airways day..

Dell:

Thanks for the professional post, but the choice is yours. If the Company will still negotiate, which is uncertain, you and your union may want to negotiate a deal within the confines of the "Going Forward plan", or possibly be eliminated if the union loses the A320 outsourcing grievance (which from a historical perspective is likely).

By the way, can you find out how many grievances the IAM has won and lost against US Airways?

Dell, I do not like this any more than you, but it's what's happening, which is why the Company can close the Pittsburgh Maintenance facility in about 10 months. It's gone...unless the IAM cuts a deal with the company.

USA320Pilot

Lets see we won the HMO Arbitration, the 401K and the Attendance Control, all three major arbitration cases that have been held in the past 10 years.

Also how many times do you have to to be told, the IAM in the Dunsford Arbitration states that the company CANNOT close down a facility to circumvent the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

I suggest when you become a AGC or District Lodge President of the IAM then you can state what has happened factually, but since you are neither of them, nor an IAM member, you have no idea of what you talk about. You would think that since you are an adult you would learn when someone tells you what has happened you would learn, but apparently we can tell you what has happened till we are blue in the face and if it is not the world according to you, it is not true and you ignore it, guess you can't take it when you are proven incorrect.

You need a reality check.

Sharpen your pencil Cap! The IAM isn't backing down. Face reality, the fat lady is opening her mouth and even though Dave is trying to kick her teeth in, we won't let that happen.

To join the LGA pilot domicile, when they sell everything.

The irony turns both ways.

IF the company wins, they arent going to negotiate with the IAM. Whats to negotiaite. They arent gonna keep anybody around they dont have to.
WTF?

You know what is sad????????? Its sad that people can do and say certain things that would almost make another union brother or sister hope for the worst in the outcome of this all . Thats whats sad. I hope and I prey for you and your member s that someone with intelligence and patience is talking for your fellow members!

I happen to also agree with the MAJORITY of posters on the boards, enough is enough!!!! We are finished giving to this band a thieves and liars. Let them invoke the now famous "going foward plan" or the "painful" clause in the contract we keep hearing about. I cannot see the benefits of negotiating myself out of a job just so the boys in CCY can collect their bonus pay. And for those who are naive enough that if they give "one more time".....they will be rewarded...well I also have some prime property for sale......There are 30 mechanics in Pit that gave twice and now the company is giving it to them, right out the door!!!

Some people like being beaten and stepped upon but myself, I have a spine!!!!! NO MORE!!!!!
