We Have 50% Cards Signed

Rum...I have no problem begging for your job or mine...if that is what you are insinuating. I believe it is the union's responsibility to prove to the public that it is the COMPANY that believes a certain location is cost prohibitive. To many times a newspaper or a local TV channel blames the union, working man, of closures.

You call it begging...and I call it informing the public, guess there lies the difference.

8103 Total Signed Election Authorization Cards by Station and Title Group (From system seniority list dated 02-12-2003):
Updated, Thursday September 25, 2003 at 11:48:58 PM. Our goal is to obtain 60% of the Craft and Class of
Mechanic and Related, and at this time, our estimate of that number, with 'elbow room' is approximately 10,000 cards.
Using that number, at this time, we are about 81.0% to our goal, or approximately 50.0% of our Craft and Class. Good job so far, and let's
REDOUBLE our efforts and GET THIS DONE!

Signature Cards are only valid for ONE Year, and must be re-signed if they expire!

I know there have been alot of cut and paste of this but, I just really like to see it and so here it is again, take a good look steve AMFA is coming and you did not stop it, but hey you gave it your best shot right, I do not believe there will ever be another card drive at AA after AMFA replaces the TWU, there will be no reason for one, oh and Steve I hope you are about ready to retire as things are not looking good for MCI and I do not believe that begging Arpey to keep MCI open will do any good, for AA it's all about money and nothing else.
of course there is a bright side Steve if they shut down MCI you won't have to pay AMFA dues. ;)

I would like to add my 2 cents worth on something here.

While AMFA is comming and no matter what you think it is going to come, the main underlying problem is still going to be present.

The line and the bases need to come to terms and work for each others betterment. For too long the company and the International have played us aganist one another and we have been stupid enough to go along with it.

Each have different needs and priorities, but neither should hold the other in check.
Tulsa because it has a majority in the union needs to realize that their vote heavily impacts the line stations and should take into consideration the effects there.

The line needs to insure that the base jobs are protected and not outsourced, or OSM used expanded to the docks.

What I am trying to say its time to work together and not aganist each other. :D

To Steve Connell,

You sound like Dorothy in the Wizard of OZ, "Auntie Em, Auntie Em. I just want to go home!" Wasn't Dorothy also from Kansas? Did you have a twin sister, Steve?
I just couldn't help myself big guy, you crack me up!

At 8222 here is how the Card Count stands per Title group.
Tech Svcs 76%
Title I 57%
Title II 18%
Title 4 10%
Sim Tech 10%

Whats going on with Title II, 4 and the Sim Techs?

1506 left to go till 60%

If March 17 is the target day they only need 9 cards a day to reach the goal.

This is using the Feb 2003 Seniority list.

By March 17, 2004 9728 will likely be 65%due to attrition, "system attrition" that is.
