There isn't one, as long as East refuses to budge one inch from DOH.

That's why it was submitted to BINDING arbitration.

Well Bear, for someone who professes to be neutral, that looks like a neutral, non biased position. NOT! Submitting to arbitration was not an option. It was mandated. Or are your biased opinions not capable of accepting that? In the mean time the merger policy or "guidelines" gets tossed in said arbitration. I am still wondering why you're so biased to be anti east anything?

You hypocrites are telling east to pony up, be a man, honor your agreements. Your mec letter proves you had no intention to do so if it did not go your way.

Yea, the author of that letter referenced is none other than J.R. Baker who is now on the save ALPA Committee. Have to print that out to ask him a question about that. Good post!!

Submitting to arbitration was not an option. It was mandated.
No. You are wrong about this. Very wrong.

Submitting to arbitration is not mandated. It is the last resort. You had the option to compromise and negotiate and be reasonable. Your side CHOSE to force the process into arbitration because you thought it would work in your favor. It was not mandated. It was your choice. Responsible people own the consequences of their choices. You prefer to blame everyone else. What a victim mentality.

This is why you are isolated on your little island, with no support from the outside world.

767 any comments on your mec letter and their burn the house down comments?

Ual to Delta, we will burn the house.

“We also remind management – and Wall Street – that it is the pilots and other employees who have suffered under this management group. Interested parties need to recognize that the true assets of this corporation are the pilots and other employees and we will not sacrifice again to facilitate consolidation,â€￾ he said.

You will remind Wall Street. Are you threatening Wall Street, by saying the stock will not do as well if your seniority lists are not integrated to your liking. If such a combination of companies should occur, should we short United stock because of these threats? Should stockholders sell out now? Could you please clarify this with your unlimited wisdom, by stating what exactly does your MEC have in mind if the tide does not turn your way?

As for being isolated? = Nope: "You are wrong about this. Very wrong" We can always count on you spending half your waking life obsessing about us on these threads

"with no support from the outside world." Which...I presume means Alpo? That's hardly anything new. and exactly when's that bizarre little outpost in the Twilight Zone ever served as "support" for much of anything? What's your point? Perhaps you've just finally tilted over into yet more interesting perceptive states = now representing, and serving as spokesman for "the outside world"? ...apparently a recent promotion....I'd previously thought that you had merely assigned yourself as spokesperson for "the majority of pilots" ;)

Good Lord...they found enough spare feather beds lying around for yet another fargin' "committee"? Nevermind..anything perceived to serve Alpo's self centered interests would be instantly supported at any cost I'm sure. "Wonder" if these "useful idiots" are on flight pay loss. Oh...the poor aching dues payers.

You guys are such whiners!!! "I didn't get to vote!" "I didn't get to vote!"

Get over it. I didn't get to vote for this horrible merger tying our lines to the HMS Titanic!

"You guys are such whiners!!! "I didn't get to vote!" "I didn't get to vote!"

A thousand pardons Comrade Stalin...I realize I'll be purged for this, but; some of us consider the right to vote on critical issues a valuable ability, and even central to our lives...must be some problem with being brought up in an earlier time

"Get over it. I didn't get to vote for this horrible merger..."

Sounds like a hearty, full bodied-suitable-for-steaks red Whine to me  i can only suggest that you "Get over it."..let it breathe a bit, and, perhaps go with a better side dish, or garnishments next time. Attempts to instantly gobble down careers can often result in severe indigestion.

Yes, they are on FPL. In my opinion, this adds to the irony.

No. You are equally wrong. You also had the option to compromise and negotiate and be reasonable. YOUR side CHOSE to force the process into arbitration because you thought it would work in YOUR favor. At that point, it WAS mandated. It was also YOUR choice. Now you are reaping what you have sowed, and we will see where the pieces fall.

Oh, and as far as the isolation thing, yes. We are intentionally isolating the USAirways pilots from the destructive bureaucratic manipulation of ALPA national. As far as support from the outside world, aside from the plethora of legal precedent, we have had a lot of support from the other independent pilot unions in this country. They realize that the only thing ALPA does right now is bring down the piloting profession in this country. ALPA contracts have a dampening effect on their industry leading compensation, and they realize that the quicker ALPA goes the way of the dodo bird the better off all pilots will be. The only people that will end up isolated are the pilots who don't get on board once USAPA becomes the bargaining agent. ALPA will have no legal connection at that point, and without your dues money lining the pockets in Herndon, they will abandon you like spoiled milk.

AWA pilot union quote 2005

"As such, we will not
allow America West management to lose focus on running an efficient airline or forget their
commitment of operating in the best interests of the employees."

Translation, your airline will not be efficient if we do not get our way on the seniority issue

Apples and oranges. You are using bloviation before hand(and your interpretation at that) and comparing it to how you guys are actually acting after the arbitrator handled it for us. Are you running out of ammo or something?

I have to give you credit for at least being creative and funny. You make me laugh!!! I think there should be awards for most XXXXXX post. You'd win...

I'd meant the "flight pay loss" bit as a joke. I shouldn't really be surprised at any such behavior from Alpoids though....A select cadre of irredeemably worthless jackazzes will always do ANYTHING rather than actually fly, or perform the tiniest bit of real work, when they can otherwise get "max months" and live large at line pilots' expense......No segment of society's fully free from such parasites I suppose, and, in aviation..they've found a comfortable nest within Alpo. I wonder if they've also been issued full cheerleader outfits, pom poms, et al....Words largely fail me here.
