USAPA Files

I would say there is better than even chance that you and many of your co-workers are shirt-tail relatives of the Captain of the Titanic. That can be the only possible answer......iceberg, what iceberg?

The EastWind thinks that professional negotiators are smarter than pilots, which may be true in some cases. But when the poor negotiator tells the Union Leadership (or U-SAP equivalent) something they don't want to hear, what's the guy to do? Tell them again?

And Again?

And Again?

Not sure, but the SBU was filed also today. Its just a formality anyway.

Actually you will go to the unemployment line......or pay your dues, we are a closed shop...

Then again if you have a valid reason why you dont have to pay dues, and alpa stays our CBA then I just got a 250$ raise.....Ill follow your lead and stop payin alpa dues.....

I don't doubt for a second that this is not based solely on Nic, but just the same if Nic had given you your DOH/LOS straight up we wouldn't even be having this conversation. I'd put money on it. We'd get a paternalistic pat on the head from you and Prater and be on our merry way.

Anyway, this tit for tat gets old quick and my head hurts, I'm gonna bow out. Before I go I'd like to say that though I get irritated or hot under the collar from time to time, I don't have anything personal against any of you fellas. It just is what it is I guess.

Understood. This mess will make anyone's head hurt....believe me. Thanks for exchanging actual thoughts on said mess.

I would love to hear something I don't wanna hear. I want to know that we have moved from "wants" to "needs" in negotiations. I want to know that there were no back-room deals and full control is being exerted from the MEC and not some "Intl" hijinks.

You haven't thought this through very well, have you?

Its hardly any issue of intellectual capacity....so you may personally rest easier. Consider ceasing playing the buffoon bagpipes for even a brief moment. Would you send a lawyer to fly a CAT III if your life depended on it? Would you send yourself in as a primary counsel in court? Would you prefer to employ a person who's training and expertise, and professional success, is soley based on their ability to negotiate?...

Or...

Do you enjoy continually bringing blunted Alpo knives to gun fights?

Said iceberg's likely gotten Alpo emblazoned on one side, and Nic on the other. Now that we've all struck it..(thanks Alpo)..what's your "solution"?

So far USAirways management hasn't fired any of the non dues paying East pilots. Think they'll fire 1800 West pilots? Hmmmm.

Priceless!

Well..I'm dumbstruck at that pithy, and erudite riposte. Perhaps some enhancements of your feelings, values, and well thought out opinions might more properly be in order...Don't strain yourself though.

Specifics, please.

At least two examples, because I'm gonna disprove at least one.

Otherwise, you are full of hot air.

1. Operation Rolling Thunder picketing event - US No shows

1. Joint MEC Meeting

Next week, the America West and US Airways MECs are scheduled to convene jointly on November 9 and 10, in Tyson’s Corner, Va. Captain Prater called the meeting for the MECs to discuss the response to the USAPA raid and to develop and staff a process for resolving issues of importance to both pilot groups in order to develop a common strategy.

US No Shows

2. Negotiation of a Collective Bargaining Agreement
The Association and the Airline Parties will negotiate a single collective bargaining
agreement applicable to the merged operations of America West and US Airways (the
“Single Agreementâ€￾) as follows:

US Fails to live up to it's agreements

These are just the quick ones. There's a list a mile long. And the U-SAPs/AAA MEC cabal makes each equally guilty.

I doubt you can disprove any, though you may try to defend the indefensible. It's U-SAPS stock and trade.

Lastly, you have to be a moron to even conceive that those on furlough with 14 years of service will be tacked behind a 2-year new hire or that 22-year F/O's will be slotted behind people with nine years of service. Is ALPA on crack?!

You have to be a moron to believe that a Blockholding Captain should be slotted behind a Reserve First Officer.

East pilots(at least the majority), unethical and mentally challenged. I'm ashamed to have to work with these guys.
