US CWA labor thread

Can anyone explain the snapbacks in our CWA contract for 2012? I can't seem to find the old pay rates on the cwa website.

General increases to pay scales contained in the current Agreements will be replaced with the following
general increases:
- 1/1/2009 3.0% increase
- 1/1/2010 4.0% increase
- 1/1/2011 4.0% increase
- 1/1/2012 2.0% Increase
- New hire employees will be paid the entry rate or at the company's sole discretion, at the one-year step of
the pay scale. In the event that any new hire employee in a location is paid at the one-year step, then,
from that time forward, all employees with less than one year pay seniority at that location will be paid at
the one-year step and will have their pay seniority adjusted to reflect that change. Employees hired or
placed on step 1 of the pay scale will not progress to step 2 of the pay scale until they have completed 2
years of pay seniority credit.

Thanks for the info, do you know what the 12/31/1999 contract has for the snap backs? Sick pay, vacation etc. I cannot find the old contract.
 
has been pretty quiet on the old CWA board...have we all just given in and up?
I know where I am we are just concentrating on keeping our noses clean...employees getting called in for following simple procedure---not rerouting to OAL when it is WX---all because a pax complained. I swear this company is backwards...you set out procedures/policies yet when they are followed, and the pax complains, you punish the employee that followed the policy....sad....all to avoid a complaint...they are willing to demoralize and belittle honest employees by not listening to their side of things-and even when they do they do not accept it so WTH?-employees that are constantly getting beat up on the front line....not making sense here guys....
 
would be nice to where the grievance over the attendence control program is going. more and more people are going ong levels II and III.
 
25 year employee snaps back to:
6 weeks paid vacation
2 weeks paid holidays
and $21.14 an hour ....... RIGHT?
 
This company DOES NOT AND WILL NOT support their employees..Period.

IF THEY were SMART, and we all know that answer, they would do like GM and offer a buyout and not some laugh in your face deal..Flying only..RIGHT HERE TEMPE..

Loosen up them there purse strings and watch your head counts decrease..

But I know better, wont happen on my watch..

Another merge has to happen, SOMEONE ELSE has to do it..

THIS Group does not have the fortitude to do it!

Cowards..that's all they are!
