US Airways threatening to strike - should we support them?

The nmb has to make the decision to release the iam... 141 goes this up coming week to negog w the donkeys and a federal mediator we shall see what happens. The talks last week w the 142 did not go well. I dont believe the iam is happy that they still have not been released but its up to the nmb
The IAM should file a lawsuit against the NMB and picket its offices. Get it out to the Media how it does not follow the law as it was written and intended. Expose how its mediation section is Run by Larry Gibbons, the former President of AIRCON, a Union busting organization whose stated goal is to keep airline wages low. Not just sit back and say 'they said NO '.

A (proverbial) brick thrown through the window would be a nice change of pace, wouldn't it?

I still wonder why labor plays by "rules" they never agreed to in the first place... At what point did the masses get complacent enough to decide that was okay?

Yes it would.

When their leaders started making six figure salaries and forgot how to fight.

is that a call to violence?

do you two converse often?

more significant to the topic, what rules did labor not agree to and if they can't succeed within the system, why should anyone expect they can be of help to the majority of the American workforce? Apparently, that is precisely how the majority of Americans see the labor movement.

I looked at the AA page and all I see is posts from this world traveler on 9 threads in the last hour or so?

I thought this person was from delta marketing?

I think the point is that he is focusing on the topic at hand. I doubt if DL cares one iota.

I think the topic is regarding a decision to show solidarity with labor at your merger partner, should that need arise.

What are your thoughts?

Too late for any labor actions in the airline industry.. The dye is caste. More wage concessions ahead..less job security. Thank you President Jimmy Carter for giving us deregulation.
