we still have access to sabre rez... hit alt tab try to sign in with your old sign in of course nothing will happen .. reset then you are on your way hit that wounderful 1 and you have access to full sabre availability not just on aa but on everyone around the world... like the good old days.. all the destinations around the world like it used to be.. where i am we use this for all our invol domestics and of course big time international that we dont have with the PIG system we have today pass the word around....

I doesn't work from all CRTs, but it is a wonderful tool. I showed someone the difference in avail displays in a pretty basic domestic market. Very simple in Sabre, nonstops first, then connections, neatly grouped by dept time, via PHL, LGA or DCA. Try the same city pair in "QIK": nonstops, then PHL conx, then conx via PIT and PHL, then other carriers. What happened to those DCA/LGA conx that Sabre knew about? Oh sure you can force them (if you happen to know about them) but many of the conx out of LGA show the UA codeshare numbers for US metal flights. Yes, "QIK Fix-its" have been sent, no response of fix. As noted in another post, the last update to the QIX fix in DRS was June 8. And the "Migraine Relief" newsletter doesn't even print the list anymore.



As, I've said before: Go to a CO counter, ask the nice CO agents to show you some NATIVE SHARES entries. See how easy they are. See the flight schedules that don;t exist in US QIK. And these are not even CO flight.
 
Are you sure they werent left there by someone making a conx to them? The kiosk does do interline etkt checkin at times and it could be a leftover from someone who checked in earlier? If not, definitely a computer issue, send a QIKFIX and dont hold your breath waiting for it to get taken care of.
Also since the names are supposed to match the boarding cards, unless someone with the same name walked up and found a boarding pass and was ready to go somewhere, its really just garbage.

He didnt know that the last QIK Update in the computer was from June 8th, he didnt know if anyone was still updating it (obviously not) he wasnt aware who was getting the info we send in on QIK FIXES, but he says someone is reading it..... yada, yada, yada....


Just a chat today with a very nice woman from the C/S procedures dept (or whatever it's called now). She said the QIK updates list in DRS (under whatever "Control this F that" it's located under) was not going to updated anymore. A new monthly QIK fix answer list in DRS will be started soon. It was supposed to start in July, but they are so under staffed and swamped that they have not gotten to it. She also said that the are over 5000 fix it items! (Not all will be acted upon,). (She also said the best way to submit missing city pairs is not to do it thru the QIX fix request in QIK, but to e-mail (or for the vast majority of frontline satff who don't have e-mail) but have some one e-mail it to procedures.)

Then why do they continue to tell us the only way they want us to contact them on matters (not even computer related issues) is via QIKFIX? Because NO ONE IS IN CHARGE of getting things corrected? At what point do we just say scr#w it and shrug it off like Tempe is doing?
 
Once again, let me reiterate, the former IT dept. failed so now the company is forming its own internal IT dept. operating under the name Usairways. Guess the last IT dept. hired was ready to expose it wasn't their fault it was our companies! What better way to hide future IT problems.

Any old IT reps for Usairways care to tell all of us their experiences? We have every right to know because it affects our livelihoods!

I watch you east agents work and have to hand it to you. I don't know HOW you all put up with this system. I
uuhmmm.....I am a former west agent and we too have the same issues. It appears the main agents that do not have the issues are in the west mainly because they do not have the same issues the eastern part of the country has...ATC ect. The eastern part obiously gets more issues....so, how about "handing it to" the west agents that are out east???! Sorry could not resist...tired of hearing east and west---even though it is inevitable. Just wanna let you know that we former westies out east are just as frustrated.

I am taking notes here...when you say reset do you mean alt tab again?

Just like the receipt I got out of a US kiosk recently with a big giant blank where the fare calculation, taxes and fare total would normally be. Luckily the agent was able to print a receipt on ticket stock with numbers on it.
 
It is difficult because It is a POS, that the IT dept has not done anything about in months..When was the last enhancement. I have read where there are still up to 5000 "FIXES" still not even being addressed. Where was the flifo undate? Since apparently most of the IT dept has quit , how does the sandcastle think this stuff is going to get done? By wishing it? Get rid of this piece of crap now.
 
hey kao.... alt tab try to sign in the old way.. then hit reset... and you are in the wonderful world of Sabre.... just enter that great number ...1... this should work on most of the computers at the stations... if you hit alt tab and try to sign in and it tells you to.... sign in.... just hit change change res.. and you will get in...its a life saver please pass the word around to all the east stations.... good luck

Sadly, in one station it works only on a handful of sets. But it's still wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. (Until the Sand Castle finds a way to turn it off) . Had a grand time showing the difference in avail displays - both on and off-lone to some poor new hires who have only known QI. Their jaws dropped! "Gee, no wonder you miss that Sabre system you always talk about".
