US AIRWAYS in talks to buy A380

There are only a few airports in the United States that can handle the A380- JFK, LAX, ORD (I saw it there earlier this year) and a handful more. No US carrier has a need for that sort of capacity. Maybe if UAL stops whoring itself around street corners they might order the B747-8 but you won't see anything larger at a US carrier. US Airways should'nt even be mentioned in in terms of aircraft that size, what a joke.

Now if they can stretch a CRJ to 300 seats I'm sure they'd happily buy those for another carrier to operate with the blessing of our dumb unions.

there is no news of this on airliners.net either
i really dont believe this news as US doesnt need this plane...get 777s before you get 380s...
they would have to build a new hangar for this thing...and alot of new infrastructure to support it
but it would look something like this

How'd they do that? That looks pretty sharp! Would rather see the new livery on a 747-8.

Won't happen. America West and 747s brings up BAD memories!
Ha, ha. That is true.. But, remember we were flying the 200 series, which was a fuel hog, and broken all the time. Hmm. Just like all our Airbus fleet, too!

There will be 12 airports in the USA that the A380 can fly into, and PHL is not one of them.

Can you imagine. Our F/As can't get thier acts together on a 767. I can't imagine the majority of them having to work on a large aircraft.

Uhmm something to the tune of chickens running around with their heads chopped off and their beaks up where the sun doesn't shine?

*hums the EMBFA song*
