US Airways chief digs in for Delta fight

The same old tired "You need this merger to survive" story. Divert attention from what is really going on and use fear to keep the masses scared. The fact is that US and DL employees, as well as the rest of working class America, is screwed either way unless they make an effort to take back their government and stop the corporate greed.

US East people need someone to hate like a heroin addict needs their fix. I know it was hard after Bronner left, but Doug is your new chew toy, it's all better now.

Watching them (whiners) all retire is like watching furniture stripper bubble away all the nasty old paint and varnish showing the beauty of the wood beneath. Go off to the rest home and find someone there to hate; maybe the nurse with the really cold hands.

Just because Doug's telling you something you don't want to hear, doesn't mean he's lieing. And you won't get more if he gets less. I don't agree with all (or even a majority) of management's decisions, but that's what the new world of the airline business has evolved into. Accept it, leave it, or waste your life waiting for change that never comes.

True. When he says he wants to earn the trust of his employees but then does nothing to earn that trust, it's not lying. It does tell employees the truth about what Parker is really like. Maybe that's the something we don't want to hear.

I know it was what I didn't want to believe. Too late to change that now.

Dougie $12,000,000
Me: $25,000 (Before Taxes).

Pay people crap and soon enough you get what you paid for.

Ok, so DP is a money grubbing *****. So what? Here's an idea: Let's let him build a strong airline, a force to be reckoned with. We all know he is (at least he believes?) on his way.

Then, oh, I don't know, AFA and ALPA get involved? Demand an industry leading, no bullsh!t contract! Remember, you can hate Lakefield and Seigel and whomever, but you always, always voted yes. Hmm.....

Let Doug create his masterpiece. Let him shine. Don't hate him for that, you would do the same if you were in his wing tips. Remember, the negotiations are slow. AFAMEC is meeting for *6* days this month for negotiations in PHX, and Shamblin thinks that's "fair". You cool with that? If not, let your voice be heard, show up to picket at 6am, etc....! Oh yah, and *NO* votes can send a very clear message. You all sound so defeated, where is the outrage?

Ok, I feel better now......

Amen to that.

Amen.

There is NO desire to actually run this airline.

The only way Parker and his crew can get the ROI they desire is to SELL IT.

No one was biting as he shopped it around, so he had only one choice, get the game of musical chairs moving in order to get this risky investment off his hands before the next shock to the industry.

The entire industry remains only one "9/11" away from losing most of its value (that's "loosing" to you, USA320).

Back up, take the long look. That's what those investing big money would do.
