US Airways announced that it had reached agreements for collective bargaining agreements

Would that fence prevent Parker from expanding the USAirways side of the operation (with its much lower wages) at the expense of the AA side (with its much higher wages)? Reason I ask is that APA has a track record of not tolerating lower-paid divisions at the same company: the APA sickout over the Reno Air acquistion was the response.

Well, then....did the APA stipulate that the LCC pilots would be brought up to equal compensation with the AA pilots as part of their agreement with Parker?

Don't bother answering. We all know the answer.

Parker will gladly operate with the LCC pilots at the lowest, and second lowest, wages in the country.

With the Tempe crowd, if it isn't in writing, it doesn't exist; if it is in writing, ignore it and let them grieve it. 400 outstanding grievances and counting.

Pretty much my take as well brother. If the Tempe intent is otherwise in this case...it'd come as a happy and complete shock.

"US Airways Walks AMR Tightrope"

Well, some numbers leaked out for the Pilots and F/A's but not the TWU represented groups......

From The IAM District 141 Website (US Fleet Service)

It is unbelievable that the company would secretly negotiate with labor groups outside of their own airline, and reach contractual terms for the future, when the state of labor relations within US Airways is so uncertain.

Insulting
It is insulting and disrespectful to the employees of US Airways to learn that, while the company’s negotiators have been unwilling to agree to terms with their own unions, they announce agreements with outside organizations that they publicly claim are improvements to the contract we are negotiating.

And this seems to be a surprise to you. Horton has done to the AMR employees what Parker has done to us the last five years. AMR will learn the hard way.

I am hoping that DP left it up to the TWU to inform the IAM. Far fetched but I'm hoping. I hope we all benefit from whats about to unfold because I'm willing to Sit On The GOM till the cows come home.
