US Airways & AFA Reach Tentative Agreement

Thank you.... good post. I think that he is not caring about those who have lost their lives. The AW Pilot is quite arrogant .... I guess he got bored on the pilot board cuz there are only three guys on that thread. I guess they got tired of insulting each other and Move 2 decided to come to this board, as the topics were not as slow here, as on his thread. If you ignore him and don't reply maybe he will go back to his rock that he came out from!

OK! Deal! I'll throw in for the cab fare!

Well I would not be among them. I want those who take care of me on board to be paid well enough to make my trip as pleasant as possible. I also want them trained well enough that in the event of an emergency they know what to do. Frankly my life may be dependent on you one day. A day we all hope never comes. You go back through my posts and you'll notice i almost NEVER complain about fares other than the odd comment regarding price gouging on monopoly routes

Face it, the ONLY thing 100% within an airlines control is how they treat Customers. Well paid, engaged and involved front line staff are often the only differentiators and one only need look at WN to see what I mean.

So are you planning on voting this contract down?

I hope that those posting about the contract at this point don't know what is in it. We have not as a group seen the t/a . So all of this banter about voting for it , or against it is crazy right now.
We have to see it before we can vote on it. We have not seen it yet.... End of discussion.

Damn this would be too easy.

And then you can ride the cab to your rock. You know, the one where you insult 14 year olds.

Remember?

Everyone should and will have a chance to review and vote. I look forward to seeing the details however it does sounds good when you hear it is a "industry leading contract!" We will see soon Im sure! I dont't listen to opinions I vote on my own two feet :)

The last contract I read for United included a $11,000 signing bonus, a $75,000 early retirement incentive and retirement healthcare benefits? Are you sure this is a industry leading offer? The Devils in the details!

Looking forward to hearing if there is anything new with retirement benefits in it. United got a pretty good retirement intensive and those that stay get a signing bonus?

From my understanding no new retirement or early out clause...and no signing bonus!

What UAL contract did you read that contained those? At any rate I dont think you will see ANYTHING close to those numbers.... and Im not sure that was the goal !

While what you say should/might be true, unless there were some major last minute changes (which could be the case) there is a lot of known info in the way of all the closed sections that have been discussed here for over a year. It is my understanding that once a section is closed it would be very difficult to reopen. Again, this is just coming from what has rolled out here on this board.

Hopefully we will be able to discuss it further. All we seem to be doing here is feeding fire to a selfish poster that seems to want to interject there childish arrogance because everybody stopped playing with them in there own thread!

They have nothing else to do....

JNC UPDATE - MASTER EXECUTIVE COUNCILS TO CONVENE TO REVIEW THE TENTATIVE AGREEMENT

MASTER EXECUTIVE COUNCILS TO CONVENE TO REVIEW THE TENTATIVE AGREEMENT

Both East and West Master Executive Council will convene in CLT today to begin the process of reviewing the Tentative Agreement (TA). Each Local President from each domicile will have the opportunity to fully review and question each provision of the TA.

Once the Local Presidents complete their review they will vote on whether to send the Tentative Agreement out to the membership for a ratification vote.

Once that vote is conducted by the Local Presidents, and assuming the decision is to send the TA out for membership ratification, we will begin the process of mailing and posting information along with a road show schedule for the TA.

Thank you,

The Joint Negotiating Committee

US thanx for your posts, but has anyone given light to the fact with PBS,and not invoking a scheduling "me too", for the extended rest , rigs , etc, how many F/A's could possibly lose their jobs due to overstaffing, an estimate I "HEARD" was 9% an obvious cost neutral for DUI DOUG, your thoughts? Thanx in advance! MM!
