Unless of course the company liquidates and in which case both will look equally moronic

Funny Bob,

I was just thinking it would make management look pretty moronic, but then again, when haven't they?

Rico,
You are factually incorrect. If 51% of, PHL pilots votted for the RC4, knowing they stood against more concessions, that is the majority of pilots they represent. If it was 51% in PIT, same thing. Now if 100% of all other pilots disagree, the "national" vote could be skewed heavily against the RC4 and that does not "prove" they were acting irresponsibly. This is the voting system in place, set by ALPA, if this is wrong it is not the RC4 fault, they are following the rules. They are the voice for their pilots, and their pilots ONLY.

This is an excellent point and one that needs repeating. Like them or not, the RC4 only represent the pilots in PIT and PHL. They do not represent the entire pilot group, and they certainly don't represent those of us who are not pilots. As long as they are doing what the majority of pilots in PIT and PHL want, they are doing their jobs and are not doing anything wrong.

Let me clarify that, there are points, and there are facts. This is a fact, not a point.

This fact is "lost" for a lot of people.

Because they have acted with said "mandate" to prevent the actual pilot group from voting.

Because they got themselves into office on the pledge that they would do no such thing, ever.

Because they have not represented a fair portion of their council's membership (300 MDA pilots), yet feel free to use our numbers to maintain their supposed "mandate".

But most of all, because they feared an actual vote of the pilot membership showing that the RC4's opinions and those of the ACTUAL majority do not mirror one another.

All this talk is a waste of time, when we can just let the vote settle it once and for all.
