I find it interesting to see what flights are operated with US #924x(usually 9240-9246). Are these always non-rev, because there are a lot that are on regularly served routes.


A few questions -

1.) What kind of work is done at Middle Georgia Regional (MCN)? I see a few 752's going there.

2.) What kind of work is done at Mobile? I know lately we all have been following the Envoy pod seat refurbs, but other aircraft go there too (including 333's). Just curious what work is contracted there versus in house at PHL or CLT.

3.) Why was a 762 put on US9244 between PHL-MCO these last 2 days? Charter?

Timco Aviation Services performs heavy checks. I have done test flights and ferried West aircraft to Macon. The 9 designator is for pt 91 opertions such as ferry flights.

But charters apparently use 9xxx, and those would be part 135 wouldn't they?

First of all 135, is for aircraft that have less than 30 seats. The charters are 91/121 operated flights with a 9XXX flight number.
