We went out full, but I want to know if anybody who posts or lurks on the board was also onboard.

Actually I think it was John Lithgow

I thought you meant the one with the monster that ate the wing and engine cowling, in which case I would have been right.

The original was with William Shatner, it was redone later with John Lithgow. Shatner later starred in "Horror at 37,000 Feet", maybe that was it.

The woman behind me in 5F had a dog that barked the entire flight. People as far back as row 15 could also hear it (plane was a 321). Crew continuously asked her to place carrier back under seat but she kept in on her lap. She even asked to walk the dog! I wanted to hit the dog at 1 point, but am 99.99% sure that the man next to me was a marshall, considering he only put his book down when he used the lav and when the pilots used the lav.

I spent the last half of the flight in the rear galley for some peace and quiet. Anyone in F who wanted a drink got doubles and triples. i think she ran out of wine. Meanwhile the service animal in row 1 didn't make so much as a sneeze.

During taxiing after landing I turned around and thanked the woman on behalf of myself and the entire plane for a uncomfortable and long flight. She told me for the $100 she paid the rat could do what it wanted. I told her that next time she ought to sedate the dog or check it. She said never, so I told her to fly SW next time where they are used to people acting like animals. There was a lot of applause.

Once in the terminal I got the concourse manager who put a note in their DM record (they were US4's) banning them from carrying a pet in the cabin. My story was coroborated by 3 other passengers and the crew.

phllax - good followup on your part.

Dumb question - I thought there was a 'rule' of only one animal onboard per cabin? Or do service animals not count at all?

Service animals are not considered as pet-in-cabin. Support documentation for the service animal applies.

Had that been a connecting flight - that dog (the pet-in-cabin) would have been removed to the cargo hold.

Thanks for doing the follow-up. Please let Consumer Affairs know as well.

Good for you PHLLAX! I'm glad she's banned from having a pet in the cabin.

We may have problems, but I don't think we have to tolerate passengers like that. Let SW carry her next time. They don't allow pets at all, which will serve her right.
