Union Workers Replaced With Prison Labor Under Scott Walker’s Collective Bargaining Law

Can you be a bit more specific about what was a ridiculous generalization?

Tell you airline workers what...you stay out of government and I'll stay out of the illustrious airline industry. Deal? No!

I've worked for a local government for over 15 years. From the micro you can see and predict the macro. I have said it many times.

At my public works department where I started there is an annex full of garbage trucks, recycling trucks, sweepers, plows, etc. Yet the office trash and recyclegoods are picked up by a privatizer non-union scab outfit. The office is 100 ft. from the annex.

Prisoners from low security prisons have been cleaning up the union workers home base since I started. In case you might not know, my city has been a 'test market' since I could remember B)

Prisoners taking union jobs? Nothing new. The scabs don't see that they're next :p

Airline folks just like the rest of us are US citizens are are part of the "We the people". You work for us not the other way around.

I am sure as a civil servant you have quite a bit of insight as to how things work but that does not negate my opinion or that of any one else.

As for scabs. Not sure how that applies. My understanding is that if the people do not work for a union company they are not scabs. Scabs are union folks who cross their own lines when their union is striking. These other folks you are talking about are just doing their job as assigned by their employer. Personally I would not care what your employment issues are. If your company hires me to do a job, I'll d it.

That is a ridiculous generalization.

Let the two sides negotiate it out, without interference, and you'll meet somewhere in the middle.

You mean like how they negotiated the US steel industries into a mere shadow of what it was?

You mean like how they negotiated it out in WI so little that it led to Walker gutting the public workers CB?

Unions don't negotiate, they make demands.

That's a great rant that I have no idea what you are talking about. The only thing I agree with you is your definition of scabs. Your opinion of civil servants apply to 90% of the workforce. I am, hard to believe, am the 10%. But you are entitled to your opinion that one tree represents the forest. I do my job, I have to because I am the replaceable 10%.

But you are entitled to your opinion and are the judge, jury, and executioner of the facts  :D

Quit speaking out of the wrong end because you base your opinion based on public opinion.

Nothing to do with letting the Japanese steel industry eat our lunch with unfair trade pratices.

If unions were needed in the US, then they wouldn't be such a small percentage as they are now. No one is holding them back from expansion...except for themselves. They are a product of their own demise.Thank god.

It may be against the law, but is common knowledge they funnel dues money directly into politicians pockets in plain site.
So gives us names, dates and place where this has occured.

Every single penny a union spends has to be on its LM2, unlike big business which doesnt have to report the same high accounting standards as unions are held too.

So keep spreading your lies, no matter how many times you post it, it is still a lie.

I never gave an opinion of civil servants performance. That was someone else on this board. My take is that they seem to be the same as any other work force. My rant was regarding the unions and management, not the work force.

Don't hold your breath waiting for any facts. You might get a cartoon or a op-ed piece but never any facts.

If you really want to go down that road...prepare to get your a$$ handed to you.

Exhibit A: The Washington Education Association illegally funnelling fees to political campaigns.

The WEA reached a settlement with the state Attorney General's Office on Wednesday, agreeing to pay the state $735,000 and return $240,000 to nonmembers who paid fees from the academic years starting in 2003 and ending in 2007. During that time the WEA's political action committee spent more than $2.7 million on state political races, with most of the money going to Democratic candidates and causes.

Exhibit B: In separate court appearances, Martin Davis, Jere Nash and Michael Ansara plead guilty to felony charges that they conspired to funnel Teamsters union funds to Carey campaign.

Please let me know if you want me to cite more examples....to make you look foolish.
