TWU - Fear Based Union Leadership and Intimidation

Do they realize with the past history of the TWU in order to get something they have to give up twice as much? I dont see JCBA talks in no hurry. Look at UAL, they are operating as a single airline and no JCBA. It does not seem to have an affect on the operation of the airline whether they have one or not. We all have agreements in place. This makes it easier for the company to sit back and keep us on the back burner so they can take care of more pressing matters. I also strongly doubt anything the TWU says that sounds promising to the membership.
Agree 100% which is why I put the statement under this Topic!

Back on Topic. Although I didn't make it to the TWU 514 meeting yesterday I was told the VP said the US guys would love to have our Scope on outsourcing and recommended we go forward with the association as a means to get back to negotiations quicker.
I hope you are being sarcastic, if you are not, then you are farther from the truth.

The US guys want more scope, not less.

Your scope at AA sucks.

And JCBA negotiations will be starting in less than 30 days.

Just like the sign at the bar...Free Beer tomorrow. They can start in 30 days and continue until 2017. Example? UAL/CAL.

For once I agree with you. Our scope? Do we even have scope worth mentioning?

On what day?
Seems I've been reading "in 30 days" for a little while now.
Its in all three IAM newly ratified CBAs 30 days from implementation, which was the 21st of July.

Here is the TWU/AA Scope:

No sarcasm... Again this is the reason I posted it to this Topic and the US M&R are about to get a hard lesson on TWU fear/Lie tactics! If this association gets approved by a NMB vote somehow their scope will be impacted negatively I assure you.
(But that will be several years down the road)
If we were to vote on TWU or IAM I was ready to vote IAM until they showed the same leadership that I have been subjected to my entire career. They had the opportunity to make gains on scope and pay/benefits but decided to let it go for a quick resolution and the HOPE of getting it in JCBA negotiations. And IMO the TA and vote were done miraculously ahead of the release of the company earnings!

This post should be TWU/IAM- Fear Based Union Leadership And Intimidation

You do realize the IAM is in charge of the Alliance for the first two years.

They wont be caving on scope.

Dont under estimate the resolve of the PMUS M&R.

Without scope, you dont have jobs, and I personally know everyone on the M&R Negotiating Committee for the IAM at US.

Very comforting knowing that the IAM who settled on the TWU pay while AA is making record profits are in charge of negotiations.  Looks like more concessions will be "Negotiated".  I also find it interesting they rushed the vote for the lousy pay before AA showed their record profits for the quarter.   Shrewd.  Anyone who supports the TWU or the IAM or the alliance is totally out to lunch.

Very true Old Guy.  They pull this BS off in our faces - no respect for the membership whatsoever.  All the tactics are used against the membership, not on behalf of.  I have had enough of this kind of (so called) representation!

And you do realize that the IAM was in Negotiations with US, not AA, and had been for several years?

And six months of profits isnt long term success.

And after the merger was announced and then the raid, the IAM NC told the members the IAM was seeking a three year bridge agreement, as they knew they were going into JCBA talks as soon as Section 6 negotiations come to a conclusion.

Dont let the facts get in your way.
