Was the Boston Group the ones who thought up all of the changes for the layout of the TAESL building during the CI event?
Yes I believe it was the Boston Group involved in the CI of TAESL. What a waste of a million $ that was.
Speaking of consulting groups and changes. At the 567 union meeting last week it was said that ORD maintenence would be outsourced. This came from the union officers themselves and not just a rumor at the base.
Anyone else heard this?

Yes i was told this to. Then again i was told by this same bunch that they are going to create 700 openings at DWH for us to bump to. Also told that 567 will be taking over 565. Also told that they are going to layoff 500 AMTs at DFW first, and then backfill with us. Its just a rumor a day from this bunch and none of them have been the truth yet.

No talk about outsourcing DFW where they have 20 planes OTS on any given day?

No talk about outsourcing MIA, a maintenance disaster?

No talk about outsourcing Tech Services? Guy who sit around in a warm office handing out canned ATBT's who come on FT and have no clue because they
haven't worked on a plane in 20 years.

No talk about outsourcing any class 2 stations?

But lets talk about outsourcing one of if not the top maintenance class 1 stations in the company.

Any truth to that would tell me the company is attempting to do as much damage to what is remaining of AA to cause some job action that allow them to liquidate or sell the entire
company to somebody else. The more I read and hear I am more and more convinced this company and it's management have no interest in the success of American Airlines.

I hope I'm very wrong. I'd hate to have to bump to someplace warm 12 months of the year.

Until you actually see what they are saying - taking place, put your BS filters over your ears. Heard nothing of the sort. Outsource ORD MTC? that is a good one. AA can barely find coverage for a class two city. Now you're talking about a class one with ETOPS international departures etc.. Not gonna happen.

I very much agree but as was stated this came from Union Officers at a Union Meeting. They must have gotten that from somewhere. Or is a complete posted lie. Which very much could be the case also. But being forced to work and live someplace warm 12 months of the year, well I can at least dream.

The post is no lie, but the info from these self serving officers of this local are. They have been running a misinformation campaign since the bankruptcy filing. Not sure what there agenda is, but at this point the info from the international is more reliable than these guys, and I never thought I would ever say that.

The same ones. They had the same great idea in the hangar that did'nt work. They also had the idea that anyone could do Any job. You know how that works out.

My understanding that this is going to be fixed with new FT rules, not qualified cannot go.

What they were talking about is ORD becoming an eagle city just like Delta did at DFW. If some of the Airbuses filter to Eagle, watch out.

"Qualified"? I was at the 40 hour school 10 or 20 years ago and haven't spun a wrench since. Tech Services needs to go the way of the Pet Rock. It seemed like a good idea
at the time but not no more.

If you don't mind,give us some more details. Who was the officier or officiers saying this? If we don't know names it is just more rumor and somebody doing the int's work. What else did they say? Anything about eagle or cutting flights etc? I'm not taking a shot at you,just try to clear the air.

They can not give names because the last time they said something the union and company threatened them.

KP has taken lead in most of the rumors that have come back as BS. It is more of these guys doing the internationals work of stiring up BS to worry us into accepting a worse deal than the bad deal that we are going to get. My opinion is that they are having a hard time with having to go back to work soon, and are fighting for an international do nothing job by pushing the BS. 😉

Do any of the DFW guys know if Gordon Clark has shown up for work yet. And if he doesnt make the cut if the rif, does he still get paid by the company in the international job? 😛h34r:
