Seniority rules alright.... forget performance, knowledge, and ability... pretty soon there will be plenty of "seniors" on the docks.. should I say, disgruntled seniors..
There won't be any docks....Bye Bye Overhaul.

And hello line ;)
lmao, don't count on it. it'll cost aa to much $$ for all that bumping, plus the operational time for turns. even though there's no 12.5, it wont matter. that's pretty much what all the line guys are thinking out there too. but i would hope that's not the case for us

I believe that if enough members of the TWU retire, that the monies the union has deemed available from the company to push the retiring out the door, should be available for a $12,500 move for those who need it.

Of course a position like this is now almost impossible as the potential offer to the company has been made. It would seem that those who are retiring have their pension, something the younger employees will not have.

Hey "CRACK MONKEY"....... If your an AMT who works for AA, and doesn't have enough seniority to survive the BIG Furlough thats barreling down the RR track, I've got 6 words for YOU.........................
..............."STOP whining like a little BITTCH" !!
Heres why.

NO ONE put a GUN to your head to accept a union job that came with Union rules !!!!
It's that simple/It IS what it IS !!!

I hope that those union rules apply when the company does not want CHURN for those who are being affected. The term sheet has already dump the $12500.

you're right. are the OH guys fooling themselves to believe that amt's are part of AA's master plan for OH or what?? The topic should read "Reapplying to Tulsa" because, maybe, Lufthansa Technik will hand you an application on your way out.

The Timco's of this world have won! Time to close up shop and move on!!

Anything is possible but I don't think all these expensive consulting firms, the ones actually running the compAAny, would advise any of their client airlines to outsource all of their maintenance. Wouldn't be prudent.

UNCLE TOM

Glad to have a union brother like you, fight like hell Uncle Tom. Maybe with the cost savings they will be able to have some one pick you up in the parking lot and get you to the plane, maybe they will help you change your diaper at break. The train is starting to pick up speed and it will be a "what about MY pension" ugly mess. Uncle TOM rolling over on a brother yet playing the seniority card is a little hypocritical. Oh wait then so is calling you Uncle Tom!!!!!!

Funny, I almost forgot when I came into the B-Scale in 1984, the senior mechanics said almost the same. "You new what you wear getting when you hired on"

They don't have a clue. I personally dealt with the Boston Group when they were at AFW years ago. Just a bunch of college kids who did not have a clue. They just followed us around like dogs asking dumb questions.

Was the Boston Group the ones who thought up all of the changes for the layout of the TAESL building during the CI event?

Where I went wrong tom was thinking I could come here and have a long rewarding career.. little did I know it had already been ruined by guys like you. I will find another aviation job no problem, by the time the layoffs get to you senior guys, and they will, the only job you'll be able to get is the door greeter at Walmart. As far as my 'bitching' goes I am only a rookie compared to you veterans at AA. I am entitled to my opinion, if you don't like it stay the f### off the internet... maybe go back to something youre more comfortable with.. like a typewriter or maybe quill pen Idk..
