The supreme policy-making body of the union is the International Convention which is held every four years. International officers are elected at the Convention. The International Constitution, which governs all union activities, is reviewed and amended at that time as well.

Between Conventions, the policy-making bodies of the union are the International Executive Council and International Executive Board. Division Councils meet at regular intervals to discuss and formulate policies affecting their own particular memberships.
So where is the POWER of the MEMBER in the TWU?

I fail to see the membership supreme authority in that correctly identified TWU Constitutional Structure.

GIVE ME AMFA, or GIVE ME DEATH.

There you have it mojo admits that the membership cannot remove or vote on anybody from the International, that is not the kind of Union I want brother I want a Union where the International Officers are accountable to the membership and can be voted on and or removed, and that is AMFA Delle's 4 year term is up for election this year he is accountable to the membership and that is what we want.

Raptor,

There are some people you just cannot reach, no matter what facts you give them. Several of these are twu true believers that just can't grasp the fact that their twu farce of a union has failed them, only this time its fatal. It makes some of them so bitter that they never will get the chance to be a six figure unaccountable twu international officer.

Its time now to concentrate on finishing the job at hand, ousting the twu this spring. I am trying not to waste anymore breath or keyboard strokes on people that still think they can change the twu from within.

We are getting VERY close to dumping the twu for good. Thank god we only need 60% to file.

AMFA 2004!!!!!!

Hackman,

Never forget. I was of those that you would have given up on! If I can see the truth after years of blind loyalty then so can anyone else involved in this debate.

In fact, the closer they are to the TWU when they fall, the better the organizer/supporter they are after the change.

I think mojo is new to the TWU, but will eventually find his way.

Loyalty is not a bad thing. When AMFA gets voted in, I hope they are also loyal to AMFA, just NOT blind loyalty please.
