Trump Watch

I see expat possibilities.
I worked in Sodom Arabia on AB206, AB212 and AB214.
I was trained on the UH60.
Should I dust off my resume...LOL :D

A civilian working to assemble these whirlybirds in Sodom Arabia could exclude up to $102,000 from their federal income under the foreign income exclusion (oddly enough, long located at Section 911 of the Internal Revenue Code).

Live in a desert with no booze but pay very little federal income tax. Hmmmm . . .

Booze being illegal and there not being booze is two separate issues.

When I was there, they sold unpasteurized grape juice (red or white) in flip top bottles, sugar by the 25lb bag and bakers yeast.

True, wine yeast is better, but bakers yeast will/ have done in a pinch.

I believe we've all seen that Hollywood moron holding a severed head of Trump.......... Beautiful responce! I don't want to put it on this forum because frankly I believe it's way over the top! And it would seem I,m not the only one!

On a side bar:
After we left SA and I was on probation at Untied, my expat contact offered me a position in Bahrain.
I asked my wife if we should go there as it's tax free with a free apartment.
She was saving that black rag ôf a cover called an abaya for memories as we were there for 2 and a half years with no outside vacation.
When she took the abaya out of the drawer and tossed it in the trash and told me to send support, I got the hint.
Anyone looking for easy money will not find it in SA.
Just my 2 cents.

Can't speak for Bahrain, but my time Saudi Arabia '91 fully convinced me of the following:

1) Mecca would make a wonderful test spot to burst a 50 megaton or so over.

2) Medina? See 1) above.

3) The middle east and it's "culture" as a whole? (Save only Israel) See 1) above. In college days I saw far less disgusting "cultures" grow in neglected/cracked and grossly contaminated Petri dishes.

4)The very next time I EVER heard some cheap, pathetic quality speakers loudly playing a literally wailing "call to prayer" tape, due to the lazy, fat-azzed "Immams" being apparently unable or unwilling to actually climb a set of stairs, that the only possibly appropriate response would be to utterly obliterate the nearby "holy" tower so disgustingly polluting the audio environment as a kindness to humanity at large.

I gather Bahrain was much "better", ie almost civilized at some lowest level, but still; you and your Lady must've been people of far more patience than myself. ;)

Yes, you know exactly.
We lived on the economy and had one of those 'towers' across the street.
We made a sound proof room with an air conditioner.
This was 82-85 so no phone, internet and only SA gooberment tv.
We lived for scuba diving in the Red Sea.
Every two weeks we would pack our mazda 629 wagon to the hilt and head to the sea.
I couldn't imagine what it would be like without the Red Sea.
Other than that SA is not a place I would visit.
But I did get paid in cash once a month.
Merikan green backs so fresh the ink rubbed off on my hands.

x I knew some people, years ago, that worked for Saudia. In fact at one point I even considered going over there myself. Was offered a job, but was in the middle of building our dream home on an acre and a half in one of the caynons just outside of L.A.

I voted for Trump, well, I actually voted against Hillery and Trump was the only option.
