I've said that the dear leader is our president. And my use of the term dear leader is more representative of his followers. I don't like this president. I didn't like this man when he was putting contractors out of business in the early 90's by not paying them. I didn't like his ego when he burst on the scene in the 80's. My dislike for him goes back decades. You say I don't respect the office. You're wrong. I don't like the man. Despite that, here is what I posted on Facebook a day after the election. Find me ONE person who disliked Obama the way I dislike the dear leader who would write anything CLOSE to this
8 years ago, we elected a president and a talk radio show host that is listened to and respected by millions said "I hope he fails". Leaders in congress said that their number 1 priority was to make this president a one term president - then turned around and blamed said president for all the problems that faced the country.
I did not vote for the president elect, but I will NOT hope that he fails. Because if he fails, this country fails. I will also NOT support a congressman from either side of the aisle who has the primary goal of insuring a one term presidency for anyone - regardless of who they are.
The candidate I voted for did not win. This is a democracy and I accept that. But I can still pray. And my prayers will NOT be for failure, but that perhaps God can grant the president elect the wisdom and restraint that is required of the office he was elected to hold. I'll pray that God helps the government of this country put aside their differences and finally look at moving the country forward instead of advancing a political agenda. And I will pray that people might come to realize that America already was "great"...there is no "again" about it.
I'll be honest, I have my doubts. But God has worked miracles in the past. I pray he can work them today and in the future.
