If the resignation of John Prestifilippo is true, voluntary or not, it is a positive sign and I can only hope that Mr. Parker cuts out the rest of the cancer that Prestifilippo spread throughout the management ranks during his leadership of the maintenance department.
Quality leadership through threats and intimidation seemed to be the prevailing attitude in maintenance management during his tenure.
Maintenance management needs a major overhaul from V.P. to lowly supervisor!
Hopefully upper management from America West will not encourage the present philosophy of U management that promotes the mistreatment of employees on a daily basis. The departure of John Prestifilippo is a move in the right direction.
