Oneworld Management Company Ltd. (OMC). CEO Bruce Ashby. From 2003-2005 with Usairways he played a central role in the restructuring of Usairways out of chapter 11 and negotiating and planning its merger with America West. OMC moved from Canada to Manhattan, New York, June 2011. Check out who he brought with him from Usairways to OMC.

So? Are you going to keep this your little secret? Or, are you testing everyone's ability to Google?

Oneworld announced the formation of a central management team, Oneworld Management Company (oMC), to mark the alliance's first anniversary. The oMC was established in May 2000 in Vancouver and in June 2011 relocated to New York City, New York, USA. It is responsible for driving future growth and the launch of new customer services and benefits. The oMC was first led by Managing Partner Peter Buecking, previously Director of Sales and Marketing at Cathay Pacific; followed by John McCulloch, previously the alliance's Vice-President Marketing; and since December, 2011 by Bruce Ashby, who previously held roles of CEO of Saudi Arabia's SAMA Airlines, CEO of India's IndiGo, and Executive Vice-President for US Airways. Reporting to the Managing Partner are Vice-Presidents for Commercial; Membership and Customer Experience; and Corporate Communications.[sup][1][/sup][sup][2][/sup][sup][3][/sup]
The Managing Partner reports to the alliance board, Oneworld Governing Board, which is made up of the chief executives of each of the member airlines. The Governing Board meets regularly to set strategic direction and review progress. Chairman of the board rotates on an annual basis among the alliance members' chief executives. American Airlines' Chairman, President and Chief Executive Tom Horton currently has the role. [sup][4[/sup]

Found in Google, 3 top positions filled as Oneworld Management moves to New York

I read somewhere in the news that Usairways CEO Parker is talking with IAG CEO Walsh. Has to do with the merger and Usairways moving to Oneworld.

IAG CEO Walsh has said that he encourages the merger, that the US airlines would benefit with mergers. He said the problem he saw was that AA management would want to control it. I read this in the news I think 2 months ago.

Since Ashby quit soon after the HP merger was announced (within 2 or 3 months?), and was quite loyal to Wolf & Gangwal, I think you're really reaching on that one... If anything, there's probably little love lost between him and Parker.

If you really want to go out on a limb, Frontier's new CEO is Dave Siegel, Are they part of the plan, too? How about JetBlue, since they have at least one SVP who worked at US Airways at one stage in his career......

Fact is, it's a small industry. Look long enough, and you'll find senior people who've worked at just about every airline. Convenient for the conspiracy theorists, but that's about the extent of it...

Eolesen..... I would like to point out that you are the one who claimed that AA could impose the 6 year duration of the term sheet. This has proven to be false with the statements made by the judge himself. Therefore I see no reason for you to offer any other opinons since you are here primarily to sing the company song and infuse fear and misinformation in the minds of the people who's opinons are really wanted and needed on this blog. Therefore I respectfully ask, since you have no dog in the fight, that you to cease your propoganda campaign. Maybe you can start your own forum. How about airlinemisinformation.com? Or maybe iloveaamanagement.com? You have my permission to use either or both of these. As far as everyone else here who wants to contribute and learn facts, I suggest you put him on ignore. I did.

Eolesen.. Hate to tell you this, but you are behind times. The airline mergers all over the world are in 1 of the 3 Alliances.. The ones that are watching what's happening in the alliances, see the writing on the wall. whether you want to believe it or not,in years to come, the airline industry will be known as the 3 alliances.. Some of us here at AFW are watching and we knew alot of what was going to happen, just by watching news on all 3 alliances.

For example, if you watched what was going on, you would have already seen that American wanted IAG to step up to the financial plate, however IAG prefers mergers. Usairways is not as needed in there alliance, so naturally we knew Parker was soon going to approach IAG about Oneworld. Which did happen.

No, not quite true. What I said was it has yet to be tested as to whether or not you go back into Section 6 or if the modification to the amenable date becomes part of the imposed contract. What's been said by the judge is that at the end of the day, y'all have to deal with each other i.e. the labor/management relationship doesn't go away.

Feel free to put me on ignore, though. It doesn't bother me in the least bit.

Apparently editing on the forums is screwed up again.... To continue on OldGuy's claim... below are links to what I've actually said - it won't be known until after the order is signed by the judge. My opinion remains that the modifications in the Ask to Article 47 could be interpreted as a new amenable date of 2018, and it's probably going to take a court ruling to confirm or deny that.

If that's the case, someone forgot to tell Etihad, Emirates, Virgin Atlantic, RyanAir, Southwest, JetBlue, Allegiant, etc. that they're also behind the times....

Facts are that 1) those carriers are among the most profitable airlines globally, 2) none of them are in one of the three global alliances, and 3) none of them show any indication of joining one of the global alliances at this point...

BA, LH, and AFKL are going to use the alliances to try and fend off what Emirates, Qatar, and Etihad have done to their long haul profit margins, but it probably isn't going to work in the long run.
