teamsters file at us air

Does anyone know the time frame that the NMB has to verify and notify US and mechanics of an election vote? I kinda hope teamsters win at US. It will be much easier for AMFA to prevail at US, and we would all just love to see yet another beat down on the teamsters by AMFA. You just can't make this stuff up...

According to the official NMB document posted, " No determination has been made at this time." Other than that it gives no time frame and only states that they will keep us updated if and when a vote will take place.

The newest flyer is out from the teamsters. Guess what they claim? Let's work together and push for more cards at AA. They claim they are ready to file soon. Same claims made 5 times prior and this makes 6. This was a grandstanding move to get more cards signed at AA. They have no intention on getting the USAir guys. AA is the big fish.

SWAMT

To answer your question if I am not mistaken it will take approx 3-4 months for them to.

1. validate the cards
2. insure all eligible voters are accounted for, all with recall rights.
3. signed cards were signed by employees, not forged
4. insure enough cards to show interest
5. send out ballots
6. send results after

Why after preaching all that about how bad the IBT would you want to have the IBT get into USAir this will only hurt the AMT's there.

Looking out for all AMT's isn't that what we the supporters of AMFA have been saying
all along? It will not help AA if the IBT gets in will only make it harder. ( My belief )

AMFA at AA in 2013

Your right. I was just mouthing off how funny it would be for the teamsters to lose again when they come up against AMFA again. But it would not be funny for the membership at US. Sorry about that. My hatred for the teamsters goes very deep, but I would hate to sit here and see it come at the expense of the US membership. The best outcome for them would be to remain IAM until they get thru the merger and then see what happens between the union at AA and the union at US. My bad...

As an AMFA Organizer at American Airlines I can enjoy the panic that must be running through the halls of the industrial unions of the TWU and Teamsters. The TWU knows they will lose an election against AMFA so they enlist the help of the Teamster to prevent people from filing with the NMB by getting people to sign Teamster Authorization Cards.

But the Teamsters get caught falsifying Teamster Cards, claim they have a majority of Teamster Authorization Cards at AA and will file for an election on not one but two separate occasions... but they haven't filed!

Now the Teamsters claim to have enough cards to file at USAir. Grasping at straws they are!

What is it about industrial unions that makes them hate craft unionism for Aircraft Maintenance Technicians? Oh it's called ACCOUNTABILITY!

Go AMFA!

There WILL be a filing from AMFA for the AA represented employees.
Exact date? Not sure or not being released. But it will be in a matter of weeks.
Less than one month.
Do not worry AMFA will file not like the IBT who says they will month after month and
nothing but lies. Tulsa is starting to see the light. IBT lies and now the so called No confidence on the 737 line (another thread) due to the TWU Yes recommendation contract vote.
Keep monitoring the boards.

NO AMFA file at AA ? You boys said after the 15th of May, What is the hold up now?

Travis, please be just a little more patient about the AA guys filing. There are still 2 weeks left in May. I know a lot of you are extremely anxious to get this done and over with, but please, please allow the organizers to file when they see it best to file, they do know when, they do know how, and they do know why, it is all for the betterment of getting AMFA in at AA. I can assure you guys there will be a filing with the NMB, but it will be at the correct time to ensure when (not IF but WHEN) the company (AA) and your current union (TWU) get word of the filing they will pad the list just like they both did last time by working together to keep AMFA out by 27 cards. The organizers want to be very positive that this does not happen again. But, for some reason they are successful keeping AMFA out again you guys will be stuck with the concessionary, company yes union the TWU for life. You guys have come this far, let see it thru to victory for AMFA @ AA 2013!!!

Travis- swamt is organizing for amfa. He will say what ever it takes to get you to sign a card. The very plain and real truth is amfa does not know how many cards are needed and they fear they do not have enough at this point. My guess is the Teamsters are in that same boat. AA has been very secretive on the number of mechanics in the class and craft. My guess again is it is done as a favor to the TWU, but I am only speculating. Once a union files, neither union has any ability to "pad" the list. This is yet another lie by swamt in an effort to stir fear and hatred for his cause. Near the end of May, about 500 mechanics on the furlough list at AA will fall off and no longer be eligible to vote. If there is a filing by either the IBT of amfa, I expect it to happen after this date (I do not know the exact date).

For now, you can take the statements of swamt as an example of the type of representation you will get from amfa. These guys will tell you anything to get you to vote for them, and they will tell you anything to get you to follow them to the bottom once they have your group.

Both the IBT and amfa are in negotiations. Check out the updates of SWA and UAL and see which ones are making the most progress.

Unlike the overpaid appointed mouth piece you are, there are many that are organizing on their own dime to better the profession. Your agenda is only about yourself and protecting your appointed position, the AMFA organizers I know are not self seekers like yourself, but are instead profession advancement seekers. Big glaring difference right there friend.

Neither SWAMT or myself are AMFA organizers.
He is just a mechanic at SWA and an interested observer as am I.
He doesn't hold any union position at SWA or AMFA national and only gets paid by SWA for working on aircraft just like me.

Also, AMFA should know exactly how many cards they need because they were already given access to the inflated list when they missed a vote by 27 cards.
It is the IBT who do not have this list nor the research to eliminate the bogus names.

Just let me know when the IBT get SWA AMFA negotiated pay rates at UAL, then we can compare negotiation strategy.
We can handle ours just fine.

Ohhh, I am starting to understand it now by your very pointed examples above. If anyone speaks out in favor of the Teamsters, they must be paid to do so. On the other hand, those who repeat or create the typical amfa non-supported rhetoric and pipe dreams, are concerned members.....!??

You guys are too funny. You actually think the crap you create is true

Once again you are completely wrong and spreading misinformation. Don't know where you got your information but I am not an AMFA organizer. I will correct postings (especially all of yours) when they are wrong information, lies about AMFA, or lies about SWA and/or lies about AMFA at SWA. I felt it was necessary to come on here and correct the lies, mistruths, and complete fabrications that people were posting about AMFA. Here's another correction for you; Yes AMFA does know how many cards they need. The AMFA organizers at AA are so well prepared this time around. Another correction; AMFA is not fearing that they don't have enough cards, in fact they have over the 50% required, they are, in fact, collecting more than required cards for the mere fact that AA and the company union TWU will indeed pad the list of names just like they did last time. They had retired mechanics, supervisors, mechanics that left the M&R group as well as dead people added to the list. AMFA still has that list and are more than prepared this time around. This is all factual, not a lie, nor is it made up. From what I understand the teamsters drive is dead and gone, as they focused their drive over at US, this was after the forgery of cards were brought out in the open. There's is documentation of this Anomaly, you wanna call me a liar again? Give it up Anomaly, AMFA will be filing here shortly and at the correct time frame. I was hoping for the date of the 24th AMT day...
