TA reached for TWU dispatchers and Ops specialists at AA

UAL just got a ta about a month ago. Believe ours will be a bit better.

We are not part of the IAMPF. We are just staying with the 401k match.
Glad to hear it. Hopefully your T/A will have gains in both company contribution and match...

Sorry I was writing while you were writing. So no IAMPF for you? Are you sure?
Did your negotiators ask for it?
I am not sure what the negotiators asked for, I just know that when the TWU/IAM merge first took place, the dispatchers along with sim techs got a letter saying they were not and did not have to participate in the IAMPF.

Cool. Thanks.

You should hope you keep the 401k. Very very smart people understand that the new pension law that only targets retired union peeps, will doom all of our union pensions due to the ponzie scheme of union pensions and declining members. Sorta like social security. The IAM had to 'hammer' active members twice now in the last decade. Next time I'm sure it will hammer the pensions of retirees since Obama signed over the hammer to union retirees.

Get educated and read the new pension law. Only a moron with cognitive dissonance would not educate himself/herself about how union pension funds can now rip off retirees.

regards,

I'm hearing some highlights will be released around 5pm
That would be very nice to read if you're ok with sharing.

Here are a few highlights that you would be interested in..

Delta hourly plus 3 percent
8 sick days
10 holidays
Vacation increase all steps
401k stays in place no IAMPF
Duration 5 years

The rest is dispatch specific.

Thanks, we should be so lucky to follow your lead. We will see in time. 10 months of negotiations for you guys. Well if we count from first productive meeting then the clock starts from January 2016.

Thank you Bogey. Pretty much what I figured except I thought there would be more sick time and what does Vacation increase mean. Did you get back one more week? The holidays I already knew would be universal for every group. 10 Holidays at Double time.

Curious. Do you know if one of those holidays will be your Birthday? Something I asked for specifically.

The finer details on vacation and holidays were not included in the highlights. When we get the full TA, I will be more specific.

Bogey,
Question on the specifics of IAMPF vs 401k

You say it will stay a 401k , fine.
Did the "match" change to a "contribution "?
What is the percentage of match or contributions?

Traymark,
As I have said, we haven't seen the full ta, but being that they did not indicate an increase, I would believe it's staying at the current 5.5. We have meetings in about 10 days where the full agreement will be released.

I would call that the first red flag.
Maybe I'm out of line thinking the match should,
1) be changed to a contribution
2) be increased to at least what the Flight Attendant's got (9.9% for 5 years if over 50)

I mean after all the company only made over $10 Billion in profit the last 2 years and will make multi billion profit this year.

Our compensation is being closely tied to Delta.
They just received a very large pay raise , in addition, they increased their 401k match, now around 9%.

A 5.5% match would be disappointing, and disturbing, and, I might add a preview of what the mechanic group can expect the TWU to capitulate to.
